Staff were great at check in and out. The hotel was quite dated and the air conditioning did not work so the staff had been nice enough to move a portable cooler into the room but on a 40 degree day and 32 degree night it wasn’t too effective.
The room was dated but clean and comfortable. A lovely feel
This property was just so enchanting because of the history that surrounds it. The bed was comfortable, the shower and water was strong and hot. We enjoyed our stay, and we must say that, Deano was a very attentive host. I would recommend the Nurses Quarters to all who are thinking of staying in the area.

Lovely large room with unique fun decor. In a quiet and beautiful setting, walking distance from town for dinner. Good value.
Fine for overnight, but wouldn't want to stay any longer. Room was nice but air con/heating wasn't working and we had to rely on a small radiator and a fan heater. Public areas were also freezing.
The owners are lovely people always willing to help in any way.

Great Chinese restaurant in Town
11out of 10 for Deano the manager.
Looks rough as guts, but bends over backwards to accommodate ALL your wants and needs
Loved our stay! Deano was an awesome host. Very friendly & accomodating. Wonderful historical building, beautifully maintained gardens. Great location.

The old nursing home is a great example of art deco building and pleased to see that has been repurposed as accommodaiton for travellers. Is basic in what it offers - that said our room was clean, the beds super comfy and it is an convenient walk from town.

Restful stop over.
Our stay for one night was good. We like buildings with history and a story. This Art Deco building is just that. The rooms & bed are comfortable. Beechworth is a lovely town with plenty of options for coffee and eats.
Such an interesting hotel, art deco style and history is fascinating. Comfortable beds and great check in experience. No soap in bathrooms and shower is often lukewarm. Can hear other rooms very clearly, so if another room is talking loudly or having a late night party you will hear every bit of it. The staff (Deano) were amazing and when I called to complain about another room having a party at 3am, they immediately picked up the phone and sorted it.
Highly recommend staying here for the history, location, and vibe. Bring your own soap and ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.
Great location, great (heritage) building, great rooms. Minor glitches were remedied quickly and cheerfully. However the lack of Wifi in rooms needs attention.
We loved everything about the building, including the authentic art deco restoration, the relaxed vibe, the beautiful grounds and the short drive from Linaker into town which each time provided a gorgeous view of the centre of town. The manager Dean was professional, helpful and thoughtful and all in all, a real treasure.
We have stayed here before and enjoy “ The Shining” experience walking down the long passage. Everything appears as an Art Deco place. Easy to get around in the area, and a very lovely walk into town for meals. It is quiet and you get woken to the sounds of birds. The conceive is a nice friendly person and helpful. Loved the place and will be back.
We loved the atmosphere of the property. It was so well looked after, clean and athentic. The manager, Dean, was welcoming and couldn't do enough to help us. We will be back again, and looking forward to it.
The building was a stones throw from the asylum for the evening activites which made for a great combo.

Lovely open grounds surround the old nurses quarters which have a dormitory type accommodation feel.
Plenty of character and history with the building, and the staff also present as interesting characters. 'Deano' was friendly and very accommodating during our overnight stay.
Room was a good size, and had a spacious bathroom with large shower. Some renovations and fresh paint would improve the place, but found it good value at the price.

The property needs a bit of TLC, new blinds and new mattresses. I understand its heritage but I feel that the fixtures and furniture weren’t heritage enough and were wrong in the public areas. The service was excellent and we did enjoy our stay.
Amazing customer service from Deano! Not who I’d normally expect on a concierge desk, but wow! He’s got so much personality! He knows his job and does it well. The who venue looks a little haunted which was cool with the ghost tours of the asylum nearby. The place is neat and tidy. Happy to have stayed hear.
Lovely owner and welcoming.
A bit run down of the building. Clean laundry bags seen all in front desk.
Easy access to room.
Enter room and hallway of our level room floor not cleaned. Fly screen was broken and not safe for a child.
Bathroom cleaned and enough of what we needed for a night.
A bit disappointed for the amount we paid for.
