"We stay here every yr and we like to location; however, the hotel needs some serious updates to the rooms, grounds…. It’s definitely showing its wear and you don’t even get king size pillows - you get like 5 mini ones …. And it just doesn’t seem really clean or sanitized .. "

"This was a nice place to stay at a really good price point. To be upfront, we only stayed one night, so this is just a brief snapshot. The bed was really comfortable. The mattress was a perfect balance of firm and soft. The pillows were plentiful and the sofa comfortable. The room smelled fresh when we came in. We saw an ironing board, but we didn't see an iron. Maybe it was in a drawer or cabinet we failed to look in. The outdoor trash was overflowing, with several pizza boxes, bags of soda/beer cans, and other garbage sitting at one of the side entrances. We assumed it was due to the evening hour (9:45 p.m.). However, when we checked out the next day, all that garbage, plus several more items, was loaded beside the side door. We didn't check out until 10:00 am, so the trash pileup sat for 12 hours+. The only other issue was the mop marks near the tub's caulk line beside the toilet. It's happened to me, as well--mopping an area that hasn't been swept and finding a line of dirt, hair, etc left behind. Unfortunately, I noticed a faint odor of old urine when using the bathroom from the time we arrived until we left. Other than those two issues, our stay was nice."

"A wonderful property! We found the home to be well supplied with all that makes it a home away from home. Immaculately clean and well maintained it made provided a very comfortable stay. The neighborhood is charming and made for interesting strolls. One can talk longer walks to the Main Street with its interesting shops and restaurants as well as to the beautiful campus of Davidson College. Rob is a excellent host, conveying important information in a timely manner and responding quickly to any questions/comments. Highly recommend a stay here if your travels take you to Davidson, NC."
