We're glad you enjoyed your room and, you're right, Fairhaven is a lovely area, particularly in winter with all the holiday lights twinkling. And, yes, the Port of Bellingham-Fairhaven is a working harbor, but thankfully it's mostly fishing net repair and storage so they're a quiet neighbor. We do, however, enjoy some fantastic sunsets in the PNW that are lovely to take in from the Harborside rooms. Regardless, Fairhaven is a special part of Bellingham and we are glad you got out and explored what it has to offer; we're happy to be a part of it! Things sadly happen though; laundry, staffing, and maintenance issues can all arise when you least expect them. I apologize that we didn't communicate with you better as to the status of your room. I am glad you enjoyed your time otherwise during our stay! We just redid the patio floor earlier this spring and are ecstatic with how well it turned out. Thank you as well for your thoughts on the Coffee Bar. We receive our muffins from the local bakeries 2 to 3 times a week. My apologies again that you received a less-than-fresh tasting muffin.
