「Well the Hotel was closed. I had to look it up on the website, find a phone number and call the owner. She could tell me the hotel was closed for winter but she had an other hotel in town called Hotel Platani Bolsena. We chose the first hotel to sit on the balcony with a drink overlooking the lake in the sunset. The sun went down and we ended up in ordinary rooms at a doll hotel with veer bad breakfast. 「Hotel was easy to get to, especially if you are new to driving in Italy (like myself!) No ZTL if you enter through Porta Romana. Valet parking made it super easy. Staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. They even held my rental car post check out so I could attend a local meeting. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were very comfortable as well. Thank you to the staff for making my family’s stay easy for us!」
