「Sadly we only had a short stay and didn't get to take advantage of the wonderful amenities available to us between our short stay and rain. The grounds were lovely, the room was clean and well sized, everything was as advertised. There is a lot to do on site including daily scheduled activities. We would choose to stay here again if we return to the area.」

「This hotel is hard to describe, it is an older hotel that they have done some updates too. The stay overall was good, I had no issues, check in went smoothly, the staff was nice. The breakfast was good, pancakes, eggs, sausage and hash browns daily, I stayed 5 days and breakfast was the same each day. The shower is small but the water pressure is good and has good hot water. The sink is outside of the room with toilet and shower and toilet is also a bit small. The beds were comfy but the pillows...

「The European tapestries and decor was unique and the overall experience was excellent. I requested a champagne bottle be left in the room before I arrived and the staff had it ready! Great experience and I’ll be coming back.」

「Loved the location. Bearing able to walk to everything. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast wasn’t much and the staff in there wasn’t as good as the rest of the hotel. The hotel overall just needs some updates and upkeep. Starting to look run down, but so was the visitor center.」

「We stayed in Room 3, if the other rooms were as great as ours then it would be hard to beat this location. The view of the river and sunset were awesome. The restaurant service would be hard to beat anywhere and the food was excellent. All in all we loved our stay at Surry Seafood Inn.」

「The manager was very helpful in getting our rooms changed from the 1st floor, which I greatly appreciate. The rooms and bathroom were clean didn't have any off putting odor. You only get one small, tiny shower gel and a bar of soap, so I'd recommend you bring your own shower products. I forgot mine. Bonus though, the hotel is right next to Harris Teeter. I didn't understand why only some rooms had a refrigerator and microwave. Our 2nd room had a refrigerator, so we put our items in there. ...

「A new building designed in the style of colonial era homes. Larry and Patricia were terrific hosts. Breakfast was made to order and amazing, including biscuits made according to Larry’s grandmother’s recipe. Comfy bed, plush towels. The dimmer switches for the lights are a great touch. Plenty of parking, nice large backyard with tons of birds. Remote location so it’s nice and quiet. Absolutely would stay here again! 」

「Overall the property was clean. Fun for kids. But in the meantime. It was one thing that I didn't like.my room was in the 1st floor. Around 11 pm I was tired. Went to my room to get some rest. But I couldn't due to kids running too hard on the top of my room. What realy drive me nuts is that it last for over an hour. And no one said anything about it .they should have some noise policy. Really too bad」
