We had a great stay at the ARCOTEL in Berlin. The location is excellent—very central and convenient for exploring all that Berlin has to offer, with many of the city’s major sights and attractions easily accessible.
The rooms are unquestionably decorated in a style from an earlier era and could benefit from some updating such as painting but they are exceptionally spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially appreciated the amount of room compared with many European hotels.
Overall, the combination of the central location, large and comfortable accommodations, and convenience for sightseeing made this a very enjoyable stay. We would absolutely recommend the ARCOTEL to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located base for experiencing Berlin.
Extremely helpful staff went over and above for us recommending public transport for us so we caught our train on time after our taxi cancelled on us. The room was pretty standard.
Room was a good size for wheelchair accessibility. Tilting mirror was a brilliant idea. Staff are great, helpful and knowledgeable though there are not enough when checking out - the one clerk was rush off his feet with a long queue!Breakfast and bar area are spacious and staff also very nice there. The shower drainage could be improved upon as floor got very wet. Also air/heating in the room was not working properly.
The Arcotel is in a very nice neighborhood close to museums. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Although the coffee was instant (which is strange when you are from BC) it was quite good!
Excellent room at a great price and amazing location.

Great position for where we needed to be .
No housekeeping during our 4 day stay and our room wasnt ready until 4.30pm due to a large coach trip .
Breakfast was manic due to this , there was however a good selection of food .
Easy enough to get clean towels you just picked them up by asking at reception .
Clean room and very nice staff. I had to get my bag delivered to the hotel and they were very kind and helpful throughout the whole process. Would stay here again
Hotel was in a great location. Easy walking access to many Christmas Markets. Also 5 minutes from Museum Island and from river boat cruise. Friendly check in and nice room
This hotel was excellent and met all our expectations. Berlin is huge so we chose this hotel because of its proximity to what interested us which was being close to the main cultural sights. We were a 10 minute walk to Museum Island and the Berlin State Opera. Both not to be missed, The restaurant in the hotel is a good spot for a meal or evening drink. Because it is an area of beautiful historic buildings there are little in the way of cafes and shopping but walk 10 minutes and there is the historic Nikolaiviertel area of Berlin full of great restaurants and a a river front beer garden. Great feature of hotel is the 147 bus which drops you in front of hotel from main train station and the Museum Subway stop is also nearby.

Staff is super kind. Breakfast is good, lots of options. Rooms are nice also
Really Nice hotel in an excellent position, close to main point of the cities and the metro
Very safe area
Easy to reach also by car with several parking places near the hotel
The hotel's location couldn't be better, close to Gendarmenmarkt, Museum Island, Potsdamer Platz, shopping, public transportation, and a wide variety of restaurants. Rooms are reasonably large and comfortable, though the mannered chairs take up way too much space and should be replaced. Desk staff could be more welcoming but the women on the restaurant staff are wonderfully friendly and there is a good, though pricey, breakfast buffet. The bar offers cocktails at a discount on weekdays. The laundry service is poor to the point of being unusable, charging double on weekends and for pickups even one minute after the stated 9 am guest delivery time. For longer stays a self-service laundromat is the only option.
Nothing special , but a very good hotel for a touristic Berlin trip - just a minute or two walk off the usual tourist tracks , therefore a hidden gem, nice and quiet.
