it is literally across the rd from the metro station, which was great for me, as that was my way to travel the city. the hotel is old and the floors are so up and down I got sea sick walking to my room, but it added to the character and the traveling experience for me. If you are backpacking or just visiting to city for a short time this place is perfect

The hotel is very close to the public transport which make it easy to travel around and see Berlin. Also breakfast was good with nice hours starting from 07:00. You don't get a key from the outside door but there is 24 hours reception so you can with confident go for a drink and always can come back when you want.

Overall

Very good location, in front of the train station and in very good neighborhood. The hotel is placed in an old beautiful building and there is no elevator and a long staircase to get to the reception and rooms. The breakfasts is good.

The breakfast buffet is super. We were really surprised. The room was basic but clean and cozy. We were really lucky as we had a balcony with our room. The hotel is perfectly situated exactly across the street from Charlottenburg Train Station for Deutsche Bahn and the S-Bahn and a very short walk to the Wilmersdorfer Strasse U-Bahn. Also, there are many, many, many shops and restaurants nearby.

Property was conveniently located by trains and buses which is good. Breakfast was ok but the food and a decent variety. The hallways were a bit noisy on some nights but mostly quiet. The hotel is basic and in need of renovating. Price is too much for what you get in return.

Would stay here again

This is not your typical hotel, but don’t let that scare you away. Overall, you get more of a hostel than a hotel feeling. The front desk is staffed 24/7 and the staff is very friendly. Perfect water pressure for your shower. Breakfast offers a nice spread of German favorites, so you will not leave hungry. Doors don’t self lock and there is only a single physical key issued to guests, which can be a balancing act for groups. The staff speaks limited English. The hotel is not handicap accessible, so if you need accommodations, you won’t even make it to the reception.

The hotel was dated, but reasonable for the price paid. Beds were very comfortable and the room was cleaned daily. Breakfast very good with plenty of choices. Staff don't speak very good English and sometimes a little abrupt. Plenty of cafés, restaurants, bars and shops nearby. Location was next to S-Bahn station, so easy to get into the centre of Berlin and attractions.

The property is directly across the road from S-Bahn Charlottenburg, so it's easily accessible from the airport and from elsewhere in Berlin. The district has a wealth of dining and nightlife options, as well as very nice parks. The hotel itself was perfect for us, room was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable, I appreciated the towels and soap that were provided as well! Perfect for couples, or individuals travelling who want to be fairly close to Mitte but at a more affordable rate. Overall, I was very pleased, and I would stay here again if I needed to be in the area.

Room was clean, but the 4est of the hotel was run down. The key to open the hallway door to the rooms is difficult to use. No response to an email question prior to my stay. Overpriced for condition of hotel. NO PARKING AVAILABLE NEAR HOTEL. Had to park several blocks away on crowded streets.
