3 night stay in the Stable Cottage
The most equipped kitchen/cottage we have ever stayed in. Incredibly quiet surroundings, I think even the horses/ponies wore slippers as we never heard them leaving or arriving to the stables situated behind the cottage. Would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Fabulous, clean and very well-equipped cottage
My mum and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lodge. It was very clean, and so well-equipped with anything you could need, including electric blankets and games for families. It was a quiet location and a lovely place to stay. We used it as a base to see lots of places in the local area - all very interesting and lots of beach walks too. I can highly recommend it.

The Lodge - a great cottage
Stayed at the Lodge - just off the main road but couldn't hear the traffic from inside. All the mod-cons including pods for the Nespresso machine and a welcome pack including biscuits and a cake. Will book again if we're in the area.

Nice short stay with the family
The house was clean and complete, we did not miss a thing. Although we did not meet the owner, we felt welcome by the milk and biscuitts. Location is remote, about 10 minutes by car from shops and restaurants. The information on Vrbo shows also pictures of another rental, it was confusing wich pictures were the right ones.

Lovely location
The Lodge was well equipped with lovely views of the garden from most rooms. The information provided was good and the welcome pack most appreciated. My only issue is that I could not identify The Lodge from the large number of photographs which obviously covered all the properties. I like to see where I am actually staying which is a reasonable expectation.

Lovely country cottage setting. Peaceful & Clean.

We had a great vacation in "The Lodge". A perfect home far from home.
We enjoyed our vacation , the Lodge is a beautiful little cottage, so peaceful and quiet - a perfect place to relax. All we needed was there. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Es war wunderschön, sehr ruhig und im Cottage war alles zu finden, was man braucht. Auch ein toller Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Umgebung.

We loved our stay in the lodge - it was beautiful - nestled in trees, quiet with a good garden. Inside was more spacious than we expected and very comfortable. From the welcoming milk and cake when we arrived, we felt relaxed. The location was perfect for Northumberland and Scotland. We hope to stay again and would recommend it!

Had a lovely stay. Beautiful location. Isolated but only a short drive from from Berwick and surrounding area. Easy access to Edinburgh by train. Cottage was well equipped with everything we needed provided. Nice relaxing break. Thankyou.

Cosy cottage in a lovely location
We arrived at the end of a mid-October day. The cottage, an extended former gate-lodge, was as warm as toast, attractively and comfortably furnished, and with a welcome tray of delicious biscuits and cake. The kitchen was equipped with everything that could be wished for. Communication with Liz was very easy, as my husband and I couldn’t find the on/off switch for the television. The location is an excellent base for sightseeing, and we were able to visit Edinburgh, Berwick-Upon-Tweed, and a number of other excellent places of interest. Unfortunately we had only booked a short stay, if time had allowed, it would have been lovely to stay longer.

A une bonne heure d'Edimbourg en pleine campagne mais pas loin de la mer cette petite maison cosy est bien équipée et confortable. Excellent accueil et charmantes attentions. Voiture indispensable. Quelques jolis lieux à découvrir pas très loin comme le château de Bamburgh.

The Lodge is delightful, peaceful and utterly charming.
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at The Lodge. We felt welcome from the minute we set foot inside and continued to feel "at home" for the whole of our stay. The cottage is fully equipped with everything we could have needed; the beautiful garden and tranquil location are just perfect. Although The Lodge is in a wonderfully rural and secluded setting, it was remarkably easy to get to wherever we wanted to go; there are a lot of very interesting places nearby to visit. We would stay again and probably will.
