"The hotel was older but the rooms were remodeled. The bathroom was new and extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable. There is a restaurant/bar right behind the property which was really nice."
"We absolutely loved our time at this property! Pat and Wayne were great to work with, super responsive, and extremely helpful. The kids had a blast playing on the rocks on the shoreline and swimming in the lake. The house accommodated our two families with younger kids really well- the kids had fun playing games and reading books. The only snag was a later check-in because housekeeping was still working on getting the house squared away when we arrived. We would highly recommend this property and wonderful hosts. "

It's an ideal entry point for exploring the North Shore, with quick access to state parks, scenic hikes, and the lakefront. The staff was helpful, and the retro charm adds to the experience. "We had a wonderful time at this rental. With 2 adults and 3 kids and a dog, we had everything we needed plus more! Amazing view of Lake Superior, hammock, fire pit, kid friendly ace throwing, dog friendly, close to everything but tucked away, private, wooded, absolutely gorgeous location. And the owners were really nice and helpful. We will be back!"
