Wander through Appledore’s quaint streets to find boutiques, art galleries and pubs offering hearty fare, hit the beach at Westward Ho! (2 miles away), popular with surfers, swimmers and sunbathers, there ’s also adventure golf and go karting next to it. Pick up the South West Coast Path for scenic walks, visit the gardens at RHS Rosemoor (11.5 miles) for some calm contemplation, take the kids to The Big Sheep Farm & Theme Park (4 miles) and The Milky Way Adventure Park (11 miles) for exciting days out, and North Devon Wake Park (11. 5 miles) for all sorts of thrilling water sports.
