Chalet in Bideford Bay Holiday Park, Bucks Cross

Flexible with arrival dates & number of days. Minimum 3 nights
A home from home Chalet set in a lovely area on the Bideford Bay Holiday Park. It's the centre Chalet in a block of 3, nestled in a clearing at the bottom of a steep wooded valley with the Manor House bar/restaurant, fish & chippery and park amenities within a short & level walking distance. Free Wi-Fi is available in the clubhouse, bar & restaurant area. Wi-fi is also provided free at the Chalet. As this is provided by a data only router adverse weather conditions may occasionally impact the signal.

There’s a communal garden area laid to grass next to the adjacent Chalet with a wonderful sea view. Portable picnic chairs & a picnic table are provided for guests use on this area.

The Chalet sleeps 4 in one double and one twin bedded room, both bedrooms have electric wall heaters. The double bedroom has 2 small wardrobes & overhead storage cupboards, the twin bedroom has a small wardrobe. Both bedrooms benefit from under bed storage boxes for guests use. Please note the twin room beds each have a recommended max weight 120kg.
Bed Linen is included in the price.

The bathroom has an electric shower (no bath), WC, wash basin/vanity unit, shaver point and a heated towel rail.

The comfortable lounge offers a fabulous sea view, 32 " flat screen wall mounted Smart TV/DVD player, a small supply of dvd’s are provided for guests use, an LED wall mounted electric fire, a wall mounted oil filled radiator & a freestanding convector heater.

A well equipped kitchen, electric cooker, hob, & extractor fan. A microwave, toaster & fridge with a small freezer compartment. A cool box & freezer blocks for indoor chalet use.
There is no gas at the property therefore a carbon monoxide detector is not required. The property has a smoke detector, fire extinguisher & fire blanket. A first aid kit is also supplied.
Electricity is included in the price.

No towels are supplied, however a tea towel, bath mat and initial starter pack of handwash, dishwashing liquid & cloth, bin liner & toilet roll are provided.

A clothes airer, iron, ironing board & hairdryer are provided for your use.

No smoking and no pets are allowed.

Refundable security/damage deposit of £50 required. Terms & Conditions will apply.

The Holiday Park facilities are open from March 23rd 2025 until early November. Entertainment passes are not included in the price, if required they can be purchased directly from the Holiday Parks Reception on your arrival and are subject to their terms and conditions.

Lovely Chalet with great views very close to all amenities, including access to a woodland walk down to the sea. Beds were comfortable and the amenities in the chalet are of good standard. Extremely cramped for 4, but nice spot

The chalet was extremely cramped for 4 people, main bedroom was smallest room i have ever stayed in, kitchenette was tiny, as was living area, with really uncomfortable sofas and bed. Lovely views from chalet which couldnt be enjoyed as sofas facing opposite direction, and no space to sit outside the chalet. Good locatìon as although it was a very hilly site, it was just a stroll from the park amenities. Chalet was clean, communicaton from owner was good, all you need is at the chalet, and the site was pleasant but far too cramped for us.

Perfect spot, surrounded by so much

5th time staying in exactly the same accommodation for our family summer holidays. My to little girls get to choose. Really poor phone signal, which is amazing. And you don't need to tell anyone there is really good WiFi.

Lovely Chalet with Amazing views

We had a lovely stay at Felicity's chalet. We had one problem but she dealt with that very quickly & kept in touch throughout. The chalet was lovely, it had everything we needed & an amazing view. We would definately stay again.

Empfehlenswert, nette Gastgeberin

Unsere Gastgeberin hat sich wunderbar um uns gekümmert und war immer kurzfristig erreichbar. Ein toller Mensch! Die Unterkunft ist klein, aber sehr gemütlich und gut ausgestattet. Es ist alles da, was man braucht, sogar ein sehr schöner elektrischer Wandkamin. Einig das Internet war ein Problem, da es sehr instabil ist und häufig die Verbindung unterbrochen ist (es ist eine sehr ländliche Gegend mit schwachem Mobilfunkempfang, das auch vom Wetter abhängt). Für Mails und Surfen im Urlaub reicht es. Wenn man stabiles Internet für die Arbeit braucht (was bei mir der Fall ist), dann funktioniert es nicht gut. Zum Glück hatten wir einen mobilen Router mit Verstärkerantenne und damit hatten wir ein gutes Signal. Dann reicht es auch fürs Videostreaming. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert, tolle Lage, Spielplatz, Pool (gegen Aufpreis, in der Ferienanlage zu zahlen) und viele Wandermöglichkeiten.

Very small bedrooms and very poor shower

Whilst being well equipped and clean, the bedrooms are extremely small with little room to move and for clothes etc. The shower (in a very small cubicle) often did not work at all, presumably due to problems with water pressure as the taps sometimes stopped working. Even when it did work, the shower was very poor. The location is good with good facilities on the site for children and wifi in the chalet was a bonus, albeit it was quite slow.

In a heart beat!

When I started planning my trip I put Bideford into my itinerary because we were going to visit a friend for a day, maybe two. I saw Felicity's listing and it looked appealing, so I looked into what else was around there that I might want to see. Devon county and the town of Bideford offered lots of things of interest. I then contacted the friends that live there to ask about the property and it's convenience for the venture. They thought that it would be good for our intentions. It was perfect. The compound's facilities and staff were all pleasant. Felicity went above and beyond what I expected as a host. I was kind of needy and a bit ignorant to how appliances and things worked in the UK, I'm American and hadn't traveled in years. Her replies to my texts were prompt, her suggestions for places to visit were on the nose, and she quickly solved all the issues that I encountered. The only advise that I need to share is that you are in a very rural area, so cell service and Wi-Fi were intermittent and weak. But, that said. I'd do it all again in a heartbeat.

Foto's en beschrijving komen niet overeen met de werkelijkheid.Chalet is ok met alle voorzieningen. Echter elke ochtend vanaf 9 uur GEEN water. Er was geen internet bereik. (dit heeft miets met Wifi te maken) geen terrasje buiten. Voor de deur kan ern klapstoeltje gezet worden maar dit moet eigenlijk pp een doorlopend pad voor de buren. Elke dag is contact geweest met de eigenaar over het water probleem. Dit is echter niet opgelost, we werden verwezen naar de receptie van het park. Samenvattend: geen aanrader.

Great chalet!

We had a wonderful stay at this chalet! It is very modern, in very good condition and in a great location. To see the sea from the chalet was just incredible. Felicity was extremely helpful and reacted instantly. We highly recommend the chalet.

Had a great holiday staying at this cosy chalet. A great base for day trips out. The site was perfect with both indoor and outdoor pools. Excellent communication with Felicity made it a simple and stress free stay.
