The property might've looked abandoned to you, but you need to realize, the things that constituted to it(bare trees, dead grass and empty raised bed planters) are how things are in the fall & winter. We are not trying to run a hotel here. It's our vacation home that you rented. And specially at this price point, you mostly won't find perfectly landscaped exteriors up here. I agree the internet is not fast at all. But as I mentioned to you, streaming on Netflix and Amazon prime works fine (and access to both are provided). We have the highest plan our provider offers but currently we are switching the provider itself to improve the speeds. Regarding the cell reception, again, this part of Bear Valley isn't the best. But depending on the service provider, it's usually not an issue. In fact, we never had a guest complain about it in the past. But I acknowledge there point, as I've occasionally had issues with cell reception. I apologise if you found ANY linen that seemed stained. And also dust on the window. I will work to address that. We get a lot of skiers and snowboarders at the cabin. With guests walking in shiny, light colored wood flooring, foot step stains tend to look prominent against the light.I assure you the entire floor was thoroughly vacuumed, just not wet mopped. Which I admit the housekeepers sometimes skip, and mostly for good reason. For example, to accommodate guests request for an early check-in, like yourself, which you failed to mention. But thanks for bringing it up. But given your level of cleanliness requirement, I can almost guarantee, you will find any cabin you rent up here to be somewhat dirty. Clearly you didn't have a pleasant stay at my place and you have expressed your complains in no unclear terms. Only if you would have directed your complains straight to me during your stay, I could've done something about it. You did email mentioning the house is 'spot cleaned' and didn't want me to think that you dirtied it and also mentioned about the slow internet. You must agree, level of cleanliness is subjective. And I did respond to you regarding the internet with a possible fix. And after following back, you said it's spotty and besides that you said it's a 'great place'. And after that interaction, your review is certainly unfortunate. I recommend going forward you try other listings out. And if you decide to come back, I assure you things will be better. Thanks.
