Commercially managed property that is not maintained. Quite a bit of wear and tear throughout the property. Front door lock needs to be jimmied to lock/unlock.No air filters in air intakes dust/dirt spray from vents notable on ceilings. Will probably get worse with local fires.Fan in second primary did not function - could hear motor kick on, but no rotary of the fan. Attempted to manually start to catch the motor, no movement. Water filter in fridge needed to be changed and alarmed, notified point of contact and was told "we do not provide guests with drinking water" followed by "the tap water in big bear is usually safe to drink, the guests do prefer to get their bottled water." Kitchen did not support cooking beyond basic items - two measuring cups, no measuring spoons. When requested, "did you check the drawers?" followed by "if they are not there, we do not provide them". Primary bath when turned on, rotated to hot will turn off mid-way and then transition to hot. Guessing a valve issue in attempt to correct water pressure. Use of galvanized steel piping to be in line with "modern" or "industrial" look; however, obvious this was just the cheapest 'fix'. Functionally and aesthetically displeasing. Washer with mold evident on seal, odor. Outdated local resources - pulled a 2025 Big Bear travel magazine from a coffee shop to update 2024 one left in the property. Overall, a luxury appearing property that has been run ragged through short term rental.
