"Shower basin was dirty, sofa bed although made up as a double had a single duvet cover in a double sheet. We requested this be changed at 10am and it still wasnt done at 10pm. Had to phone reception a second time to rectify. Staff sorted quick after second call. There was a hair tie on the floor on arrival making me think it hadnt been hoovered. Breakfast was fair. Bacon was very fatty and not very appetising. Both mornings there was no chocolate sauce for waffles. Food was hot and plentiful. Staff in general were lovely and helpful."

"The hotel needs some TLC - lots of little things needing repaired, making it look tired. Staff were excellent, in particular, Addison in the restaurant, that boy has the perfect demeanor for customer service - give him a pay rise!! "

"The room was really nice - we moved rooms because we had an adjoining door in ours and you could hear absolutely every move from next door (worth asking about this if booking). Would certainly stay again. "

"Parking was excellent we parked and walked straight through into the bar area. Reception staff were helpful and friendly especially Clara. Bar staff were friendly and also dining room staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was excellent and an upgrade and river view for my birthday was a nice surprise as well as the chocolates. I will definitely be staying again. "
