Best Western Plus Columbia River Inn

"The room at Best Western in Cascade Locks was very clean, comfortable bed. The check in was quick, staff very helpful .Breakfast voucher for the nearby restaurant offered plenty of choices and seating with the view of the river."

"Cute updated home but there are some things to know before booking: 1)Toll bridge costs 3.50 per crossing to the Port of Hood River (pay online or in-person within 14 days to avoid fees), 2) nice bonus room (shared with washer & dryer) at the back of the home has a futon bed, 3) house is cooled by window units, downstairs it was adequate, but one of the upstairs rooms only had fans that didn't cool very well, 4) spiderwebs all over exterior of home, it's how it goes when you are in a forested area, but the owner had an extension cord going to exterior to provide power to lights in backyard and therefore there were also some daddy long-legged spiders on the interior. It wasn't too bad, we just unplugged the cord so we could close the window and kept the blinds up so the spiders didn't share our space. And lastly, 5) the railroad tracks are a couple blocks away, the trains blew their horns every time they pass and did so even as late as 11 pm and as early as 6:30 am, or at least that's when we heard them. I would still stay there for the price but I just wanted others to be aware. "

"We had a great stay at the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn! The location right on the river is hard to beat, and the views were beautiful. The hotel was clean, had great amenities, and the staff was friendly. It was the perfect home base for our family while exploring Washington and Oregon for the week."
