The experience was magical and the setting was like it was right out a storybook. Tennis was a big part of why we chose this place and brought our own rackets but was happy to learn that they provided tennis rackets and balls to their guests as well. The room was spacious and clean with everything we needed. The Terrace restaurant provided great dining outside and the food was excellent. The staff from check-in to check out were overly accommodating and very friendly and knowledgeable and so helpful no matter what the question. Walking the grounds and the gardens and the Trim trail gave plenty of opportunity to explore the beautiful outdoors and take in all the beauty of this countryside estate. I want to go back to England just to stay at Down Hall and will recommend this place to anyone. For a large event like a wedding or a romantic getaway just for two. We were made feel like royalty and we felt like we were in a castle with all the conveniences of a high end hotel. It was my first time being in England and will definitely include staying at Down Hall for another visit. And stay a little longer the next time. I didn’t want to leave. We had a wonderful surprise experience and it was so romantic, with the historic setting and the large amount of open space to be explored and enjoyed in the daytime and evening time. Top marks all the way.

Great hotel in a wonderfully quiet and tranquil location. The staff were lovely and very helpful throughout my stay. The only minor downside was that the bathroom wasn’t completely spotless. However, this didn’t take away from the overall experience, and I would happily stay here again and again. Many thanks for making my stay so enjoyable.
