Top Notch!

Had a wonderful stay at the beachfront cottage. The place is as good as advertised! The best part, owner / property manager thought of everything - coffee, towels, condiments, kitchen utensils, extra blankets, snacks, etc.

It was very quiet and relaxing getaway. Very spacious. Plenty of room for just more than 2 people. Property manager Jackie was great to work with. Communication was excellent.

Weekend Getaway

Obsessed with the views. Was a perfect getaway for my husband and 4 month year old son. I appreciate how spacious the rooms were it made it easy to set up our pack and play. I appreciate the options of snacks that were left and even more so that they took the time to leave snacks that were apart of my allergy restrictions. We definitely plan on staying again in the future!

Great spot, great view. House was very clean. Beach access is great. Perfect pacific nw experience. However the house lacks modern amenities. Not enough power outlets. Poorly placed everything for function. Fit and finish is poor. Plumbing proved inadequate.

Great View! Great Price! Great Stay!

We rented this home as a short getaway for our anniversary. We had a great stay at a great price point for the view, as compared to other homes in the area for twice the cost. The host, Jackie, was very communicative & responsive to our needs; some snacks left for guests too! It’s an older home with updated floors & other renovation done, yet nothing spectacular to look at from the exterior, so expect it to have older home quirks: some two prong outlets (a tip: bring 2 & 3 prong extension cords & splitters), kitchen drawers not on tracks, microwave in laundry room, an unusable 2nd shower. For us, that’s expected at the lower price point. There’s a few windows with no coverings, including a frontal hallway window to the bedrooms & bathroom, but Jackie was receptive to feedback to add privacy clings for extra guest privacy (after we met a gardener face-to-face at the window, & public beach access is the home’s side yard). All said, the water view from the living room was so wonderful, combined with the very quiet neighborhood, it was well worth the stay! One lower rating was for cleanliness. Although allowing pets, we found no pet hair anywhere, which was fantastic. However, there were some cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, the range hood had dripping grease, & we had ants in the kitchen (counters & trash can). However, Jackie immediately sent someone with ant traps that took care of it, and she let the cleaning crew know to “look up.” For the price & view, a lovely stay!

The home is beautiful! We absolutely loved staying at it and waking up to the gorgeous views. The walk down to the beach was lined with blackberries that we enjoyed eating! The neighborhood was so peaceful and so close to Vancouver and Bellingham for day excursions. It was a bonus to have an extra half bath not on the listing. The beds were comfortable!

Very nice and clean with a beautiful view

This was a lovely stay for our family. It's a very short walk to the beach and the outdoor chairs were a nice addition. The views were gorgeous and since the place was in a quiet area, it was very relaxing. We would definitely come here again. The beds were comfortable too which isn't always the case in rentals!

Took a girls' trip to Birch Bay and loved our stay here! Very communicative property management that went out of their way to make us feel welcome (beer tasting, breakfast cookies, popcorn!). Simple check-in and check-out. Very cozy home with a great view of the water. Will certainly return here for our next Birch Bay trip!

Ocean view cottage

Spectacular location overlooking Semiahmoo Bay and Canada,. I had not seen so many eagles and herons in one place - even bald eagles.and osprey. The cottage was well equiped and even though the outside temperature reached 106 degrees the absence of A/C was not an issue as the breeze off the ocean kept the property comfortable. I would definitely rent the cottage again.

Two perfect days in Birch Bay

This cottage is a lovely cottage with an amazing view! We appreciated the extra touches like s’mores supplies and starters and logs for the fire pit, snacks and the local beer flight. It was very clean with plenty of space for our family of four. We enjoyed clamming in Birch Bay and then had our feast in the garden overlooking the ocean at sunset. We also used it as a starting point to drive into Mount Baker State park for a stunning hike. Just perfect!

Really Sweet Property

We very much enjoyed the property. The cabin was older and quirky and very clean. The bedrooms did get chilly, but the space heaters made it very comfortable. The view was amazing. The short walk to the beach ment we were able to enjoy the beach several times. The complimentary snacks, beverages, and toiletries were very thoughtful. We would 100% stay again.
