Great place to stay!
We have stayed at the log cabin several times now, and we love it! It is located in a quiet area. It is so cute and cozy inside. Love the fireplace and there is a huge bathroom. The bed was super comfortable. Thank you for sharing the cabin with us! It is a gem of a place - check it out if you are planning on staying in the area. We hope to be back again!

It is such a charming place in a lovely locale! We absolutely loved staying here; we only wish we’d gotten to stay longer! It has the beauty of an old cabin with all the modern amenities. It was super clean and comfortable. The town is quiet with the grocery just across the courthouse square and the few people we saw were friendly. There are tvs upstairs and down but it was just so nice that we didn’t turn them on even once - we enjoyed sitting in the rockers out front instead. We did use the Wi-Fi though and it worked perfectly. We’d highly recommend staying here!

Great historical spot!
We enjoyed staying here. We were only there for one night along our travels, but loved the historical aspect of the property. Easy parking and check-in. Quaint little town. Nice porch. Clean. Had everything we needed. We’d definitely stay again!

Pefect Dinner
I travelef to Bland to meet my daughter who was on her way to Florida from Massachusetts. We went to the market bought stuff to make dinner, it was quiet, comfortable lovely setting. After dinner we walked around the area ot was great.

Hiking the AT
This location was great for hiking the AT. Since it is close to Route 42 and 52, it made for three days of great hiking. Since we brought our food, we didn't visit any local restaurants. Highly recommended.

The Perfect End
Wow! What a great place place to ride a motorcycle and just relax. We did not know it but we saved the best place to finish our 3 week trip. I have ridden the roads around Bland on my motorcycle for years but only coming and going to NC. This time my wife wanted to stay. This quaint cabin is very accomplished. The owners know how to entertain, plush towels, claw foot tube and a corner shower. Soft bed sheets, comfortable furniture etc. We came to ride and the weather cooperated. After a long day we could sit on the porch and have a beverage, or walk 2 blocks to the grocery store to cook in very simply. Very peaceful time and we’re planing on returning.

Beautiful, quiet, in town and near freeway; great amenities!
Great little cabin, less than 10 minutes from the highway, tucked neatly in the heart of of a quiet little downtown. Close proximity to the local grocery store and right near the main road - the perfect stopover on an interstate road trip. Shannon was great with getting us checked in, despite some technology issues. The only issue we ran into was getting the DVD player in the living room set up so we could watch something from the in-house DVD library... we had to borrow an extension cord from another room and then figure out how to connect the player to the TV and find a place to set it, but we did get a movie going in the end! Overall, this was a great experience and I would stay again.

Exceptional Service and Communication on This Stay
My business associates have stayed at this facility several times- all with good success. This stay had the potential to be difficult, due to a malfunctioning heating system, but the hosts communicated well, pre-warmed the space, and arranged for repairs at the first opportunity. Their response was exceptional, and it reinforced our commitment to stay here in the future.

Great place to rest between Cleveland and Amelia Island Florida
We were driving back from Amelia Island Florida to Cleveland and we’re looking for a place to stay in the woods and this place is so close to walking paths in the history of the town in the county or amazing the place is awesome 200+ years old just a history was amazing to sit in the building and think about how many people were there great place I’m stopping there again on my way back-and-forth to Florida

Appalachian Trail home base
This was an ideal “base camp” for walking the Appalachian Trail in this area. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. The hot water was HOT though! We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Another Solid Stay at this Convenient and Quaint Log Cabin
We have stayed at this property several times for business purposes- it is convenient to our work site, has great amenities, provides a unique living experience, and the host is extremely friendly and accommodating. This property is ideal for a single traveler and/or a married couple, due to sleeping arrangements and privacy needs. We will always book here if we have a single, business traveler, but multiple, unrelated travelers might prefer to stay in a larger setting. There is a lot here to keep us coming back. Thank you!

Little Gem in the hills
Great little place and perfect for our overnight stay on our trip home to Ohio from SC. Very clean - everything we needed - cooked dinner and sat on the front porch on relaxing rockers. Owners very quick to respond and couldn’t be more friendly! Definitely recommend!

Perfect small town getaway.
This property met our needs perfectly. The location could not have been any better. We enjoyed watching the sleepy little town wake up in the morning and shut down at 5pm. Every one in town was pleasant and hospitable as expected. We enjoyed the clean mountain air and breezes. Only change we would recommend would be installation of screens on the two back windows in loft like all the others and a screen door.

We were excited about staying at this cabin as the area has little to offer but was a good stop off point. It does have modern conveniences, I'm not convinced it's a 200 year old cabin but the big disappointment is it's located in "donwtown" Bland off a parking lot across from city hall. It has no yard, no privacy. The rocking chairs are nice.

My company has an equipment servicing contract in the Bland, VA area. Our technician has stayed at this log cabin several times for up to 1-week each time. The facility is convenient for work and personal activities, the accommodations are lovely, the facility is outfitted with internet, and the hosts are friendly and flexible. You must stay here (but not when our technician is in town!).

An intimate step back in time
We were delighted to find this memorable cabin for a recent trip to Virginia. We spent two nights at the cabin and cooked multiple meals there. The listing gives a good description. The bathroom is on the main level- with an amazing soaking tub. The kitchen is small, but manageable. Being such a historic home, there are definitely drafts, but the fireplace is gas, so nice and easy. There were extra heaters and lots of blankets for the cold nights. We were very comfortable and the bed was the best we’ve had at a rental. Bathroom towels were good quality and had ample supply.

Just Right
This cabin definitely gives you the true back in the day feel! It was 19° degrees when I stay and the battle to keep the place warm was an authentic experience! The fireplace, couches and old decor made this cozy cabin indeed. The manager was excellent in giving information and answering quickly. I have no issues with the 200 year old cabin and plan to visit again in the near future. I recommend everyone check this cabin out in the small town of bland!!

Wish we stayed longer!!
Exceeded the expectations that we had! This was a pit stop for us on our way to Mt Rogers for hiking. The cabin was a great place to relax and prepare for our hike the next day. Everything we needed was in the kitchen for us to make our dinner and breakfast. The cabin was warm, inviting and relaxing. We could hear the rain on the roof early in the morning, reminded us of camping, that was a huge plus for us! Furniture was comfortable in the living room and the beds were too. We were sad that we were not able to return after the hike and soak in that tub! This place is super easy to find and we recommend it for a one night stay as you pass through to your destination. Excellent communication with us too. We truly enjoyed it!!
