I chose Rose Bled based on prior positive reviews, especially on the breakfast and wellness facilities. Unfortunately, my stay didn’t live up to expectations.
The breakfast was very greasy and there was very limited fresh fruit options.
The cleanliness of the room was also disappointing. Surfaces didn’t seem properly cleaned, in the bathroom there were lots of hairs not belonging to me, marks on the mirror that were not removed throughout my stay and it felt like housekeeping was done with minimal effort, the bed sheets merely thrown over as opposed to the bed being properly made.Additionally, the towel heater in my room didn’t work – the plug had a missing prong. I reported this and was given a replacement, but that also had a broken plug.
The wellness facilities were one of the main reasons I booked, but they were not up to standard. The outdoor jacuzzi had a wasp or fly nest in the cover. When a guest asked staff to remove the cover, the staff member saw the nest and walked away without addressing it. The nest was still there days later, making the jacuzzi completely unusable.
This hotel has potential, but the lack of attention to room cleanliness, wellness facilities and guest service meant it fell far short of the positive reviews. I wouldn’t return based on this experience.
