Very nice home with great location and views. Being able to keep our rent car in the garage was a plus. Hot tub was a wonderful way to relax and unwind after a day of hiking and exploring the area.

Beautiful Property! Perfect Romantic Getaway!

We stayed at this home for 5 days and enjoyed every moment! The home is clean and well appointed. The outdoor deck has a great view and deer are seen daily in the back. The hot tub is clean and ready for a great place to have good conversation. The hosts are very communicative and pleasant. Any couple wanting a quiet, private, peaceful place to stay should seriously consider renting this home!

The place was very comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed to make our stay pleasant. Love the neighborhood but be aware, if you’re a light sleeper the fog horn is on ALL day and night. There are all kinds of wildlife like deers, hawks, fox and lots of birds. It was beautiful. Overall we were comfortable.

Love this place

This is such a lovely place. With a view of Bodega Head and all the wildlife around. We had deer, quail, herons, a fox and even a skunk visit us. So cute! The hot tub was wonderful. Fun walk down to Doran Beach every morning. Great restaurants nearby. We will be back. Thank you, Bob and Diana!

Beautiful home

The house is lovely with a huge backyard deck and a large field that is frequently visited by deer, foxes and birds. The vaulted ceilings in the living room make the house feel even bigger and the bathrobes are soft on the skin after a hot soak in the jacuzzi.

House has great natural light, comfortable King bed, nice deck with distant ocean view - you can hear the ocean at night from King bedroom w/slider open, clean & nice hot tub, clean bed linens & lots of towels. A home we'd return to

Mandolin Wind was clean, comfortable and cosy. It was well stocked with soaps, shampoo and body lotions. The beds were comfortable with pillows galore. (A couple of softer sleeping pillows would have been a welcome addition). There were grouse (I looked them up in the Audubon Bird Book that was provided) to greet us out front in the mornings and the deer in the backyard were a nice touch. We will definitely return to Mandolin Wind.

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Mandolin Wind. It was everything we expected, the house was clean, BBQ was brand new, fridge and ice maker worked perfectly. Spa was also working fine. The place is quiet, we used it to visit San Francisco and travel time to downtown is about 1h. You can find a store in Bodega Bay called Diekmann's Bay Store, they had all our need for our stay. The only remark we could do is the washer and dryer could be upgraded, they worked ok, they are just old.

Wonderful house with stunning views

It just doesn't get much better than this. The property is a spacious, clean and and nicely furnished single-level house in a quiet hillside neighborhood with views of the ocean and surrounding countryside. Self check-in was a breeze with clear instructions, and the hosts provided plenty of helpful sightseeing and dining information. Easy driving to the wine country, or just relax on the large back deck. Kitchen is very well equipped, including a "lending library" wine chiller. Having a king bed and a garage were real plusses. Easy-to-operate TV setup, too. A-plus all the way!

Spacious, private, comfortable accommodations

This property is in a quiet neighborhood with views of the ocean. We got there just before sunset and the first thing we did was get in the back deck sauna and watch the sunset. Robes supplied were perfect. The beds are very comfortable. We took day trips to Armstrong redwoods, and Tomales Bay and this property is centrally located to those locations. The kitchen was clean and up-to-date. The gas fireplace is easy to use. The bathrooms were also clean. My husband and I did not want to leave when it was time to check out. The only two things I would note is there wasn't a champaign stopper and the hot tub seemed a little heavy on the chemical treatment. Overall, very nice property.

A great vacation rental!

Fro the moment we arrived at Mandolin Wind we were impressed with the location and beauty of this place. The house was well stocked with most everything you could need for a great getaway. The kitchen could use a wine foil cutter, a pair of scissors, and a few plastic bowls, but was otherwise well stocked. The deck and hot tub were a great place to relax, and the gas grill was great. It is conveniently located to the town of Bogega Bay and the beautiful coastline. We were a bit disappointed with the TV stations that were available. most everything we would have liked to watch was unavailable and needed an upgrade to the service. We tried to watch HGTV with no luck, and would really have liked to see some of the Olympic Trials, but we couldn't access any of those stations. Mostly just basic TV channels, but we made due. The bed was very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely book the Mandolin Wind again in the future.
