Welcome to our *** Holiday Apartment 'Newport'.

Börgerende is considered an insider tip - a seaside resort with an unspoiled nature without mass tourism and with original charm. It is a former fishing and farming village, only 300m from the sea. In a traffic-calmed location, you will find on the upper floor of the completed in autumn 2013 cottage this high quality apartment.

The maisonette is equipped with a floor heating and can accommodate up to four people. The apartment has a separate bedroom with double bed (180 x 200 cm). Also in the first level is the modern, open living and dining area. The living area is equipped with a spring core sofa bed and a flat screen TV. The bathroom is also on the first floor. It is equipped with a ground-floor shower and a towel warmer. Through the staircase in the hallway you reach the generous, child-friendly, open sleeping gallery in the second level. There is also a pull-out couch here. Also to the small guests was thought. A travel babybath a children's high chair as well as a bottle warmer are at your disposal free of charge. The second level can be secured by door grilles.

Start the day with an extensive breakfast on one of the balconies, accompanied by the singing of the seagulls, breathe the wonderfully fresh eastern sea and look forward to a sunny day by the sea. One balcony is accessible from the bedroom, the other from the living area.

The free car park is in front of the house.

Several restaurants, an ice cream parlor, a backshop and a playground are located in the village. Only 300m away you will find the Baltic Sea natural bathing beach. There is a sand and pebble beach, a nudist beach section (signposted) and a dog bathing beach.

The village Börgerende is located between the seaside resort Heiligendamm (4km) and the seaside resort Warnemünde (14km). Other places of interest are the Ostseebad Kühlungsborn (13km), the spa Bad Doberan (6km) with its cathedral and the bathing track Molli, the Hansestadt Rostock (20km) with a zoo and the World Cultural Heritage Wismar (50km).

Whether hiking, cycling, skating or just swimming, in Börgerende there are various sports facilities. In the surrounding area there is a riding stable, golf course, diving school, sailing school etc.

Beautiful location with some drawbacks

As a family who values travel, we have stayed in a decent amount of short-term rentals throughout the United States and beyond (Ireland, Iceland, and now Germany). Though our rental in Börgerende included staying in a beautiful and modern home, within walking distance to a lovely Baltic Sea beach, access to a great trail leading all the way to the Warnemünde lighthouse, and a selection of toys and games that entertained our youngest daughter for hours, we felt it came with frustrations we have not experienced elsewhere. Communication with the host was slow, and included a shocking message—the day before we were due to arrive—informing us that we needed to contact a third party to arrange delivery of bedding and towels at an added fee of 100 euros (25 euros per person). Thankfully, the host did end up arranging the delivery of our bedding and towels so we did not have to contact the supplier, however we have never in all the places we have ever stayed come across a situation like this. The designated parking space requires one to parallel park in a tight space against an unforgiving wall. Lastly, one of the main reasons we choose to stay at short-term rentals is because we like staying in places that have kitchens so we can cook and avoid the hassle/cost of having to eat out for every meal. This place comes with a warning that if you do not clean the oven to their standards you will be charged an additional 100 euros, which made us nervous to use it at all.

Die Wohnung ist extrem gut ausgestattet. Viel, was man sonst in eine Ferienwohnung mitschleppt ist vorhanden. Das ist top. Vor allem für Familien mit kleinen Kindern. Der Hausmeisterservice ist sehr gut, falls mal was defekt ist. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Die Lage ist natürlich mega & die Wohnung ist herrlich maritim eingerichtet! Vielen dank!

Wunderschöne Lage und tolles Objekt

Traumlage, 3 Minuten vom nächsten Spielplatz entfernt und 7 Minuten bis zum Strand… wir haben es genossen. Sicherlich ist die Unterkunft noch einen Ticken mehr geeignet für eine Familie mit zwei Kindern im Schulalter, bei uns war es nun so, dass ich die Couch mit den kids als Familienbett benutzt habe und das war doch recht unbequem- aber ich denk für die Kinder geht es gut.

Moderne, ruhige, strandnahe Wohnung

Die gemütliche, gut ausgestattete Wohnung liegt im ersten Geschoss eines Vier-Parteien-Hauses mit angenehm großen Abstand zu den benachbarten Ferienhäusern. Sie ist modern eingerichtet und bietet viel Platz für zwei Personen. Der Strand ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen und angenehm ruhig. Die Kommunikation mit den freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Eigentümern und Verwalter hat schnell und problemlos funktioniert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Die Ferienwohnung hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Besonders für unseren Sohn (1,5 Jahre) gab es viel zu entdecken, da jede Menge Spielzeug und Bücher vorhanden waren. Das war einfach toll. Erst hatten wir bedanken, dass der Ort evtl. zu „langweilig“ sein, aber für Familien die beste Wahl! Wir kommen auf jeden Anfall wieder :-)

Eine sehr gepflegte und geräumige Ferienwohnung mit tollem Spielzimmer und sehr gut ausgestatteter Küche. Hervorragend geeignet für Familien mit Kindern, insbesondere für Babys ist alles Notwendige vorhanden: Reisebett, Hochstuhl, Toilettenaufsatz etc. Der Strand ist zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen und deutlich weniger überlaufen als die "berühmteren" Ostseestrände. Das Dorf hat sehr viel Charme. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen!

Sehr familienfreundlich!

Wir haben unseren Urlaub hier sehr genossen. Selbst bei schlechtem Wetter ist man in dieser Wohnung gut aufgehoben. Für Familien mit Kindern ein absoluter Traum! Es wurde an alles gedacht, sogar der Toilettensitz für die Kleinsten ist vorhanden. Wir werden sicherlich noch einmal hier her zurück kommen ;-)
