Greeted at the road side by Arun our naturalist guide we were immediately enveloped in the forest following a footpath (truly the only access) leading us up the the very exclusive camp. A truly luxurious boutique hotel with wonderful staff. The roads in are interesting and we were glad of the SUV we had hired. Over 4 hour drive from Colombo which was indeed stunning. 「酒店门前的确在修路，从市区10公里过来的路要开半小时。估计还要修个把月。酒店不大，一共能接待10几个住客，但是该有的都有了。餐饮不是其他大酒店的自助，反倒可以支持随点随做，甚至早餐。使得更有一种家的感觉。泳池的确没有加热，比较冷。我很喜欢花园草坪。可以在黄昏时爬上后面的茶山看日落。风景如画。几个小问题，酒店没有外币兑换，不能安排什么DAY TOUR，晚餐价格比起当地水平贵了一些。是值得推荐的酒店。」

「My fiance and I stayed at the Hotel for my birthday. The Hotel provided a free upgrade to us and prepared a birthday cake for me at breakfast! A total surprise! Impressive! There are a range of tours which you may join at the Hotel - and we picked the tea plucking class which we enjoyed very much. 「除了用餐准备时间太长外，几乎无可挑剔。 不知道为什么会把酒店名翻译成“象牙”，太误导了。这是奥利芬家族私邸改建的酒店。 酒店很多基础设施，都有150年历史。即便新配置的家具，多半也是安装殖民时期的风格配置的，所以一走进酒店就有穿越到十九世纪的感觉。 入住当天只有我们一行5人，所以两个管家服务的很周到。只是用餐准备的时间太长，从点餐到上前餐花了一个多小时时间，因为现点现做，后厨只有一个厨师和帮手的原因。这难免引起我们的不快，我们的不满弄得两位管家很紧张，反而让我们有些心不安。晚餐虽然准备时间很长，但做的很地道，于是把不满化作感谢，大家皆大欢喜。」
