「Beautiful view. Just the stairs were difficult for my cousin due to a knee problem but we knew it was on the 4th floor. The host was fantastic as he met us at the taxi and took our cases up for us. Again, when we left he took our cases down.」

「A very old stone building very nicely renovated and modernized. Our room had small windows but the stone fireplace and old sink were gorgeous; the A/C worked great. We had the hotel breakfast one morning--it was fine, reasonable cost; but there are plenty of cafés nearby as well. Alda corp evidently runs several similar hotels in Santiago. 」

「Antigua casa gallega reformada y restaurada con estilo por la propietaria. En un enclave excelente rodeado de naturaleza, tranquilo, alejado del ruido y del estrés diarios y bien comunicado para conocer la zona. El jardín es amplio y está bien cuidado. 「Checking in was very difficult. Jose does not speak English. He never made himself available to let us in the building. We were let in by another guest staying in a different apartment. There was one piece of furniture to sit on other than the folding chairs at the kitchen table was a tiny loveseat covered by a ragged slipcover. Couch pillows were old. Beds need mattress pads. The only way to get privacy or reduce the noise was to close the shutters completely, and then the apartment would heat...

「We had a lovely week. The house is fully equiped but remote. The main attractions are at least one hour in the car. We had bad weather however. The communication could be better. The owner who speaks English, was not present. Carmen speaks only Spanish but she provided translators when necessary and baked us a cake for breakfest which was very nice.」
