The house is lovely - the bedroom separated from the house is very hot and was a little dirty but that’s partly because of the bear stone. "The photos do not do this property justice. Its a lovely large secluded house in the middle of sunflower fields. The owners live next door and were on hand for anything we might need, but we didn't see or hear them unless we needed to. They were the perfect hosts. It was a great location for our extended family getaway. The pool was perfect and provided good shade for the children. There is a sandpit and a wooden lookout that are not pictured, but were a lovely surprise. The house was spotlessly...

"This appart-hotel is about a ten minute walk to the centre of Angouleme and the comic strip museum is nearby. The rooms are clean with a kitchenette and a shower room. Breakfast is reasonable for under 10 euros. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Altogether a good stay. "

"A comfortable and convenient hotel with pleasant staff and good facilities including secure parking. The bistro style dining was excellent and we took the smaller breakfast option which was great too. The central location is perfect, right in the heart of the old hilltop town with many historic buildings and great views. "

"Nice hotel in Angouleme. Had a little difficulty finding it at night since not familiar with area. Had after hours check in which went well, although gate for accessing parking area was not automatic but manual. Hotel is new in an older building, but that adds to its charm and has all the modern amenities (including A/C, which not all hotels have in the area). The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, but was small like most French hotel rooms. Enjoyed our one night stay and would stay here again if we are in the area. "

"This is our second time staying here while driving from Netherlands to San Sebastian. The first time was so great we did it again and this time was even better. The staff is 10/10 amazing. Very patient with my bad French even thought they spoke English perfectly. Claire even spoke a good amount of Dutch. She checked us in and helped us with the menu and was overall a sparkling ray of sunshine. The dinner and drinks were great. This is a classic motel. Clean, hot shower, comfy bed, fabulous staff, close to the highway. It is older but not in a bad way. It has character and is just a great place!"
