Three Day Mountain Trip

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was clean, had a well equipped in the kitchen (used the Instapot for Beef Stew!) and there is an outdoor fireplace with TV that we enjoyed for two nights. We had an issue with the basement fireplace and they sent a lovely young man out to fix it for us the next day. I highly recommend this property.

Heat relief

The property was wonderful with lots of quiet surrounded by trees, deer & rabbits! Well appointed decor & all that makes a get a way perfect. Can’t wait until next summer!

Great house for families.

Great family experience. Plenty of room in a quiet mountain setting. Kids enjoyed fishing in lake and really enjoyed our nightly fire in outdoor fireplace making semores. Best of all was making family memories.

Family friendly retreat

House was great setup for family and kids. Kitchen was well equipped for all our needs. Only suggestion is they invest in larger dining table. Otherwise would stay again!

Family Time

The house was very nice and clean. Everything was in good operating condition. We really enjoyed the gas fireplaces; as well as, the outside fireplace. The location was convenient to Blowing Rock and Boone.

Great family visit

The only problem we had was with the TV not working properly. We called the rental agency and they sent someone out to fix that problem. Beautiful place. Loved quietness of the area , the lake, and the trails.

Sweet Retreat

We have stayed in the Sweetgrass Community before and it is a wonderful location! The house was clean, lovely finishes. We would’ve liked better appliances, the refrigerator was very cheap feeling, no ice dispenser, broken lamp and the coffee maker was broken upon our arrival and a lack of mirror space. Would not stay at this house again, but the impeccable service of Blue Ridge Rentals is always worth returning!

Great trip

We had a great time at The Sweet Retreat!! Three families stayed in the house comfortably. Cons: The kitchen table only seats 4 even though the house sleeps 12. Only 1 towel is provided per guest even if you are staying for four nights. The exterior trash cans were completely full when we arrived. Only 1 bathroom on the main floor. The basement couch and some pillows are feather (we had people in our group with down allergies). Pros (these outweigh the cons!) Beautiful view The house is right next to a trail head to go explore the community The community is beautiful. We love sweetgrass although the last house we stayed in provided paddles so we could use the canoes. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas which made the trip even more special. The internet was out the first night when we arrived and maintenance helped immediately. Everyone was incredibly comfortable in their rooms. The fireplaces were amazing. We were even able to have firewood delivered to the house prior to our arrival which made it so easy! We had a wonderful trip! We would absolutely stay here again!!!

Well appointed cabin

Beautiful neighborhood and well appointed cabin that was a wonderful hangout spot for a family weekend getaway. Nice outdoor seating area with TV is a definite plus, and the neighborhood was beautiful!

one problem

First let me say that overall the stay was great. The property is beautiful and the location is perfect. That said, the only drawback Was that the living room couch had a lot of crumbs and pet hair under the cushions. This was a particular problem for us because my four-year-old grandson is allergic to dogs and developed some hives. Fortunately nothing serious but you might pass this on to your cleaners

A Real Sweet Retreat

The house is beautiful and very well appointed. Quiet, gorgeous neighborhhod on the outskirts of downtown BR. Mattresses were great and layout was really nice. Bedrooms were all a decent size. We enjoyed the outdoor gireplace and TV. Would definitely come again.

Quick getaway

We arrived on a Friday evening left on Monday morning the house was great. Five bedrooms and 3 bathrooms the two downstairs rooms had a full bed on bottom and single bunk above. Our friends with small children thought the layout was great. They had everything you'd need for a quick getaway we explored blowing rock and boone which it's close to and went to ski beach was a fun time would definitely stay again thanks for having us.

Perfect Mountain Retreat

Blue Ridge Mountain Rental has the friendliest staff and very helpful. Sweet Retreat was the perfect Mountain retreat for myself and my family. Beautiful home, very clean and beautiful views. Great location to all attractions.
