Very nice boutique hotel in a convenient location.
A very nice boutique hotel in a convenient location near tram service. Walkable to shopping, restaurants and the waterfront areas. Owner and staff were very nice and accommodating. We highly recommended this hotel.
The hotel is in a unique building which used to be a consulate. The rooms are large and well appointed. It has an artistic vibe.
Morning breakfast was very good. Staff is helpful. Great location.
We are more than elated with this gem luxury boutique hotel!! The charming interior decor was unique and modern yet fitting for the quaint relaxed Bordeaux vibe. But even more impressive was the staff — everyone was so friendly, kind, and attentive and went above and beyond accommodating and helping us! The rooms were modern yet charming, with clean new linens, high end Caudalie toiletries, and exceptional tea and coffee station. The breakfast was lovely and ‘so classic French’ with a variety of pastries, breads, and jams, and yogurt parfait. We MOST HIGHLY recommend it for your next stay in Bordeaux and would love to come back one day!
Beautiful boutique hotel with a quiet and serene garden in the back. Conveniently located within minutes of local transportation and approximately 10 minutes walk to a pedestrian area with shopping and restaurants. The owner of the hotel, Antoine, was at the property every day and interacted with the guests to ensure everything was okay. He and the staff were helpful in assisting with taxis or providing information - there was nothing that was too much to ask for. We stayed in the Erable room which was quite large with a spacious bathroom and lots of closet space with windows that opened for fresh air overlooking the garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we visited Bordeaux in the future. Thank you to Antoine, and the team for a very special and enjoyable stay!
This was a smaller hotel than we expected but it was also a much much customized hotel than we expected. The comfort details were subtle but much appreciated and the host team was remarkable.
Special note for an incredibly comfortable bed, a sweet and wonderful city garden and an amazingly well balanced breakfast.
We were delightfully surprised by this hotel.

Disappointing for a 5 star
The Quinconces Hotel does not correspond to the standards of a five star. Minimal staff on site, no help with luggage, and a breakfast that is worthy of a 3 or 4 star hotel. Perhaps they are trying to cut costs in light of COVID-19. The decoration of the hotel was abysmal. The bed was not very comfortable, and worst of all, there was no headboard.
The pictures do not tell the true story.
This was such a wonderful place to stay-everything was perfect. The rooms were beautiful and so well equipped .Staff were so friendly and took care of our every need.
This hotel is in a very good location within comfortable walking distance to all the sites and marvelous restaurants. The hotel is quiet and perfect for those who prefer to be a little removed from crowds and prefer a more personalized experience. The rooms are large and well appointed. The staff is very helpful and extremely courteous.
One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever seen. Staff is excellent.

Beautiful building. Not many amenities because it’s a small property. The room, though clean and well appointed, was too small, and also located on the top floor/attic, which I didn’t like. The room was about 350 euros/night, which isn’t little. There are much nicer rooms located on lower floors. For 350 euros a night I don’t think I should be relegated to the attic.
The hotel was lovely and close to the center of town, within walking distance to restaurants, bars and transportation. The staff was fantastic! We loved the breakfast and late night cocktails. The rooms were beautiful, clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here.
One of the best stays ever. The hotel is the former US consulate in Bordeaux and has been made into a boutique hotel with nine completely different rooms. For those who accept small French hotel rooms, this will delight. Our room, the Grenadille was very spacious with a beautifully appointed shower (rain) and separate tub for two. Lots of storage space and super quiet. The high point is the concierge service. Our concierge planned for our dinners each night (five nights in all)and each restaurant was better than the next. The location is perfect and a short walk from the tourism office and some of the major attractions. If I could give six stars, I would.
Concierge service was excellent but nothing could be done about the very modern shower area to the room which had a wooden floor that flooded the wash area. Also the shower was open with no closing door - unusual in our experience.
Breakfast good but very expensive at 56 Euros per couple per night. Restaurants very pricey and food not that impressive.
