Hotel is interesting and comfortable. Wish the rooftop restaurant/bar was open as the view would have been great. Cleaning housekeeping staff were very nice. Only a few minute walk down to other restaurant options which was super. We would stay there again.
Situation:
Excellent location close to the Borjomi Central Park. Large property with rooms in 3 separate buildings. Spacious rooms. Rooftop restaurant with over the top live singing. Vintage Russian style hotel
Everything is terrible except for the bed, it's ok
Everything except for the bed is terrible, well it's only ok, but better than elsewhere, more than two pillows for a double would have been appreciated.
The bathroom stinks, and the mirror surround looks like poorly painted wood, but is infact poorly painted polystyrene!!!! TV hdmi doesn't work (nor other connections) tho it's pretty big, and have the awful restaurant music blasting down from upstairs, don't stay on the 4th floor of building two!
The next morning we went to breakfast which was less than appealing, sour cream, rubbery eggs, or synthetic cake anyone? I did find some bread and cheese which was passable. On return to our room there was no electricity, so had to speak to the front desk again (first time was to sort the drain out the night before). Somehow the hallway fuse had been switched off. Next annoyance was the cleaning lady knocking on our door wanting to clean, 45 minutes before check out.
The final insult was check out consisted of the front desk man holding out his hand for our key cards with only a grunt of acceptance. How this is a 4* hotel I have no idea. We did sit by the pool for a bit after check out since it was sunny and we didn't need to get to the airport for a while, but were 'surprised' at the poor quality and number of broken sun-loungers. I'd say bring a tent and stay somewhere close to the cave city of Varsia (which is well worth the journey) than staying in this hotel.
Nice place, pleasant staff, definitely recommend.
On the first day had a little miscommunication about the booking, and the room was not as anticipated, but after discussing with the front desk team, all was corrected and room was replaced. Thanks to Anna Svanidze for the prompt response and support.
It's a pretty nice hotel with a great pool and great spa service. Definitely stay two days so you can take best advantage of the spa. Breakfast was iffy, and the service seemed to be trying hard but was so-so.

We had booked what we thought would be a nice room with a view and ended up with a small room with no view and cheap fixtures. Reception staff seemed disinterested and claimed hotel was overbooked. BreaKfast substantial but inedible. Not at all good value for money. Only saving grace was comfortable bed.
