We had a room with two queen bed reserved--there were 4 travellers. When we arrived they said they overbooked and had to change to a room with 1 bed and they would provide a roll away. This was unacceptable. The rollaway was awful and my husband had to sleep on the floor. They overbooked and we had no alternative.

The room had a bad smell. Smelled like wet carpet or something damp. The pillows on the bed were very small and uncomfortable to sleep on. The shower head had a very small and weak stream of water pouring through it. The shower needs to have a stronger water stream.

This was a trip for a follow up at the hospital with our Daughter who went through Open Hart Surgery, this was not a trip for pleasure nor for business. When we arrived (around 8-9pm) there was no one at the desk, we waited (in this unsafe area) for over 20 minutes for someone to come to the counter. The room was disgusting, when i went to the front desk to complain that there are wet stains in the middle of the bed, we were told "sorry we cant help you". we ended up sleeping in the car.

La habitación muy cómoda, limpia y espaciosa. Las almohadas ridículamente pequeñas y duras, muy incómodas para dormir. El recibimiento en el check-in muy frío, ni una sonrisa, ni un bienvenidos, ni ofrecen ayuda a menos que lo pidas. Todos lo demás muy bien.

I wouldn’t ever stay here again. Not for the price. Facility is filthy, there were no pillows. Our room was 77 degrees because we were “over the boilers?” Why build a room that way? The solution was to open the window on the first floor. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all unless the price reflected how gross it was. We checked out early and stayed for maybe $40 more at the nicer Marriott down the street. It was disgusting

OK hotel. Bad experience
We were scared after reading reviews that the hotel would have been overbooked and would be left with no room. When we reached and the front desk said the reservation got cancelled for overbooking, I felt my fear was coming true. But he informed that he booked another cheaper room and hotels.com would be refunding the difference. He was helpful and kind. After 1 day, no news from hotels.com, so we contacted the customer service which after 2 hours settled everything. Such a pity to loose that time when being on vacation. Hotels.com customer service was helpful too. Need to mention that the same night 2 other couples didn't get any room due to overbooking. Not sure if the real issue comes from the reservations platform or from the hotel, but this is scary. The room itself and furniture is very old but clean enough. The bed was comfortable and we got hot water to shower. It was enough for our short 2 nights stay but the fridge and the microwave didn't seem to be working if this is important. Location is a +, green T line is just 5 min walk away.

The property is dated and not well maintained. The bathroom mirror was missing and there were poorly “patched” holes in the wall where towel bars or towel hooks were previously attached and not replaced. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom. There were a few odd items that appeared to be collected from other hotels (make up towellette, conditioner) The carpet was dirty and the walls had various dents and partial patches.

Upon arrival after 12 am unofrtunately due to a late flight, waited about 30 minutes while the desk clerk helped another customer. Desk clerk was very nice, but at that hour we wanted nothing more than getting to our room and hitting the pillow. got to our room, opened door and was very unpleasantly surprised. Room does not look like the picture on site. Carpet filthy. Although the bathroom was very clean and the bedding looked very clean. Thre were 3 very flimsly pillows on the bed. Needed more pillows. Room had a musty smell too which also made me very nervous. Probably was there a total of 6 hrs, but still not worth the money. Need to replace carpet. And updat room. Desk clerk was very nice gentleman. Not sure if there was any amemities in the main area or not, it looked like the furniture was all stacked up and boxes around so not sure. spend a bit more and go elsewhere.

Complete mess.
no address on hotel, hard to find. No person at desk to check in. Terrible pillows and bedding. Filthy bathroom needs complete update. No shower spout at all. Worst experience ever. No soap, nothing. Worst hotel ever.

It was 58° in our room so we called down to the front desk to let them know we had no heat. The woman said that the owner doesn’t turn the heat on until November 1st. My husband said so we’re just supposed to freeze I guess. The woman told my husband yeah it’s cold in the office too.

It Works
Easy to navigate to and park at. Space was large but was pretty unkept. There were spots/stains on the floor, the was black mold on the curtains above the AC unit, stains on the curtains and bedding. Would have likely gone somewhere else if not for having already paid for the night.

Overall a good hotel. Small cosmetic issues throughout. Like a hole in the Sheetrock and clothes hook in shower was broken. Everything was clean. Hot water took a long time to get hot, but when it finally did it was a perfect temperature and didn’t run out. They are using “clean” remotes That I guess make it easier for them to clean, but don’t work that well on the tvs. Arrangement of room was awkward, the couch didn’t face the tv. So we had to sit at weird angles to enjoy tv in the evening. A lot of construction going on so I believe they are working on updating their rooms. Staff was very friendly. I believe that $25 a day to park in the parking lot of a hotel i’m already paying to stay at is a little ridiculous. Over all I was pleased with the stay, and would stay here again.

Not the nicest, but definitely the cheapest in the area. Had to pay extra for parking, but it wasn’t too expensive. The room seemed a little outdated, but clean and functional. They were short on staff, so the check in process took a long time. Was warned that shampoo and conditioner may not have been available, but luckily there was already some in our room. Overall could have been worse.

Location was great; close to public transportation. free coffee in lobby 24 hours. Comfortable room. Lacked coffee pot in room. lacked a room trash can (there was one in the bathroom). The heater didn't work, so I cuddled up in 2 blankets (short 2 day stay, not worth complaining). No cups/glasses in the room. I would stay again there, it was a great price and commutable compared to the rest of hotel prices in Boston!

It was affordable. It's located close to several amenities including a grocery store and is located in a quiet neighbourhood. Appliances are very dated and don't have kitchenware despite having a mini kitchen so make sure you bring your own kitchen stuff when you book this room. Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. This room has a particular strong odor that smelled like a smoker smkoed a chimney a day before us. The unlimited tea and coffee is a plus but some coffee pots were already cold when I tried to pour some into my cup. There was no dish and body soap only a hand soap. There was also a fly lurking inside the room but overall it was a comfortable stay for the price.

I tried to talk to a hotels.com rep but I couldn’t understand her very well and it was unclear to me if we would pay a charge to have hotels.com book us a new room, how long it would take, or if could specify the Boston neighborhood that we needed.

Reasonable expectations equals contentment
This isn’t a five star hotel and doesn’t pretend to be. It’s older, was obviously a motel and is pretty dated. However, the staff was nice, friendly and helpful, and the room itself was clean and relatively large. The beds were decent, and the sink and counter by the mini fridge and microwave was a nice touch. The WiFi was a little dodgy at times as was the local tv channel reception. Once we settled in, it suited our purposes nicely. I would recommend sucking it up and paying the $25 a night parking fee. Mount Hood Road is very narrow and finding parking within a reasonable distance consistently is unlikely. Given the prices of other places that we checked out, it’s not a deal breaker if you don’t want to shell out 2-300 bucks a night.

One night stay
Stay was ok. Very thin walls, and I was quite surprised when I arrived at 3:57 for 4:00 check to be told room may not be ready yet as check in was at 4. I explained that it was 3:57, woman at check in was very abrupt with me, then said I was in luck as they did have a room ready. I guess that is the service you get for ONLY paying $300.00 for one night.
