Located between St Louis and Springfield, Missouri, Meramec Caverns has some extraordinary cave formations. There are 4.6 miles of caverns tucked away in the Ozark Mountains. Artifacts from Pre- Colombian Native American Indians have been found in the caverns and it is ruptured that outlaw Jessie James used them as a hideout. Also Union troops camped out inside the huge opening at the beginning of the caverns #Golden
