Very strange and confusing experience with parking registration
"I recently stayed at this hotel and encountered a very confusing situation at check-in. I noticed a tablet on the reception desk for parking registration. When I entered my car's registration number, the screen clearly displayed a message saying I had free parking for 24 hours.
However, as soon as the receptionist saw this, they became visibly unhappy and told me I wasn't supposed to do that. They claimed that the free option on the screen was for 'other types of guests' and insisted that I had to pay for parking separately. To my surprise, the staff member then immediately moved the tablet out of my reach/sight.
It felt very unprofessional and lacked transparency. If the hotel’s own system identifies a vehicle for free parking, why would the staff discourage using it and hide the device? It felt like I was being pushed to pay for something that the system had already cleared as free. I hope the management can clarify why there is such a difference between what the screen says and what the staff tells the guests."
