Attic apartment above an English-style café — downtown Boussac
At the very top of the house, under the roofing framework: exposed beams painted green, brick wall, and morning light through the skylights. 40 m² for two people, with its own kitchen, shower room and entrance.
The house is in the centre of Boussac, in the Creuse. A small English café occupies the first floor on the street — but the apartment has its own door, hallway and staircase: you never cross the café. Knowing that tea is a few steps away doesn't spoil anything.
What's provided: bedroom with double bed, sheets and towels provided, shampoo and shower gel dispensers in the shower as in the hotel, hairdryer, soap, washing machine, electric hob and free wifi. Four radiators and a heated towel rail in the bathroom: the apartment heats up very well, even in the middle of winter.
Everything is within walking distance: the bakery, the pharmacy, the restaurants, and the Thursday morning market on the square. The Château de Boussac dominates the Petite Creuse on the edge of the village — the tapestries of The Lady and the Unicorn hung there for decades, and George Sand stayed there. The Pierres Jaumâtres, a moorland summit strewn with giant granite blocks balanced together, are just a short drive away.PGJyPg Self-arrival from 3 p.m. to midnight: the keys are waiting for you in a secure box, there is no schedule to keep even if you arrive late.
