Entire house above an English café — Sleeps 4, downtown Boussac
The two floors above the café, and no one else on the stairs. 100 m² in total, two complete apartments connected by a private corridor: two bedrooms with double beds, two kitchens, two bathrooms with shower and toilet, and a terrace.
This is the configuration that suits two couples, a family with grown children, or parents who come to join their loved ones: everyone keeps their door, kitchen and bathroom, and no one sleeps in the living room. You can meet whenever you want, not when you don't.
Booking the whole house is cheaper than renting the two apartments separately, and you only have to manage one booking.
The house is in the centre of Boussac, in the Creuse. A small English café occupies the first floor on the street; the entrance to the accommodations are completely independent, with its door, hallway and staircase. Knowing that the tea is a few steps away doesn't spoil anything.
What is provided: sheets and towels provided, shampoo and shower gel dispensers in the showers as well as in the hotel, hairdryer, soap, washing machine and free wifi. Electric heating in both apartments, which heat very well even in the middle of winter.
Everything is within walking distance: the bakery, the pharmacy, the restaurants, and the Thursday morning market on the square. The Château de Boussac overlooks the Petite Creuse on the edge of the village — the tapestries of The Lady and the Unicorn hung there for decades, and George Sand stayed there. Paths run along the river at its feet, and the Pierres Jaumâtres, a moorland summit strewn with giant granite blocks balanced together, are just a short drive away.
Self-arrival from 3 p.m. to midnight: the keys are waiting for you in secure boxes, there is no schedule to keep even if you arrive late. Departure before 11 a.m. Parking nearby.
Long stays accepted up to three months: −10% from one week, −30% from one month.
