「I booked this hotel with breakfast for out of town grieving guests with breakfast included hoping to make their stay easier. They were told at checkin that it was not included. Subsequently after some stress at a time we didn’t need it, plus conversations the staff realized their error but by then it was already upsetting for me and my guests. Just one more thing we didn’t need for a $300+ hotel night in Oshawa. Do better with the next folks.」

「Our room was spacious and bright with excellent blackout curtains for night. Bed comfortable with bed linens and comforters that are fully washable (no worries who or what was previously on the bedspread 😉.) Room well maintained. 「Very comfortable and welcoming place! A real hidden gem not too far away from the city. The house and property and gorgeous, the breakfast is big and delicious, and the programs that they run are great. I attended a Reiki circle that I found very helpful and relaxing. The shiatsu massage chairs are also excellent. I would return and I will recommend Rising Star!」

「It was a great hotel. With a lovely breakfast. Air conditioning was good accept while sleeping it seem to go up from where it was set prior to going to bed. I would of rated the stay higher if it wasn't for the technical issues they were having with the TV/cable, even being unable to use my debit card to pay for snacks at the front desks. The rooms were modern and clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful.」
