The Cherry Tree Studio in Bowral is located: at the base of Mount Gibraltar (The Gib); across the road from the beginning of the beautiful cherry tree path; and across the road from Bowral's Olympic-sized pool. The compact studio situated at the back of the property has a small kitchenette and ensuite. It is suitable for an individual or couple who want to be close to the town centre, pool, train station, the hospital, and the cherry tree walk. There is free untimed parking on our road.
The space The Cherry Tree Studio is separate from the main house. There is a private gated entrance. The studio has a bathroom that includes a shower, sink, and toilet. The small kitchenette is attached to the living room, and there is an open bedroom space.
Guest access Guest access includes the studio, the back yard, laundry (the laundry is in the main house and available for guests who stay a week or longer), and access to bikes with helmets.
Other things to note Walking and biking is the nicest way to see the town. We have a bus stop 100 metres from the studio if you need public transport. And Bowral train station is a 10 minute walk. There is free untimed parking on our street with plenty of parking spaces.
We are conveniently located minutes away from cafes, galleries, antique shops, the hospital, and town centre. We are a 10 minute walk to Bowral pubs and the town centre, and a 25 minute walk to Bowral hospital.
You’re welcome to borrow our bikes to ride to the beautiful Ngununggula gallery or ride along the cherry blossom track (the beginning of this path is located across the road). If you prefer a slower pace, stroll along the walkway and picnic at Little Mittagong Creek by the Japanese bridge, only a 5 minute walk.
Enjoy the magnolia trees and flowers in Corbett Gardens, the centrepiece of Tulip Time festival, one of Australia’s biggest floral events. For those who are more athletic, hike to the summit of Mt Gibraltar which overlooks the town; access to this hike is a 10 minute walk.
Explore the surrounding countryside and hiking tracks in Morton National Park. From our place it’s just a 10 minute walk to The Mill with its cafes and ice-creamery; and a 20 minute walk to browse vintage and antique retailers at Dirty Janes Antique Market. Bradman Museum and the International Cricket Hall of Fame that honours the legendary Bowral local Donald Bradman is a few minutes by car. And it’s a 10 minute drive to Berrima, Mittagong or the Centennial Vineyards.
