Wonderful Stay- We Can't Wait to Stay Here Again!
Our trip to Belgium was made complete by the wonderful hospitality we received during our stay at the cottage. We felt completely at home right from the beginning when the owners met us at the door to show us around. The location is fantastic and made it easy to get to numerous locations in Belgium. We cannot imagine staying anywhere else the next time we return! We will remember this trip fondly.

Verry nice cottage in a beautifull surrounding
We enjoyed the stay. The cottage is nice, clean, enough space, a good bed and the infrared sauna was nice too. You can sit outside in a beautifull garden. A nice place to take the bike and discover!

Excellent accueil de nos hôtes pour un séjour que nous avons adoré. Le gite est bien équipé, très propre et suffisamment spacieux. Bien situé par rapport aux commerces et pour aller visiter les alentours. Magnifique région. De belles rencontres en prime.

Séjour très confortable
La maison est bien entretenu avec ce qu'il faut en équipement. Pour nous, avec un enfant de 4 ans qui se couche pas facilement et un bébé qui dort dans la noir totale la disposition des chambres (traverser 1 pour accéder l'autre) n'étaient pas idéal, sans les volets dont on a habitude en France, mais on est un cas particulier, et avec des enfants plus âgés (ou qui se couchent plus facilement) il n'y aura eu aucune problème. Une fermeture qui empêche les enfants à ouvrir la fenêtre et la porte du balcon dans leur chambre sera un ajout pratique.

Merci Lorna pour ce commentaire constructif. Les photos et le descriptif montraient bien l'absence de volets. Vu l'architecture du cottage, des volets seraient vraiment de mauvais goût. Nous avons voulu allier un maximum le confort tout en conservant l'aspect typique du bâtiment. Nous avons mis des tentures occultantes dans la petite chambre. Quant aux enfants, ils sont en général ravi d'avoir leur petite chambre avec un coin jeu...et une tour.

Splendid stay at Braine-l’ Alleud!!
We had a super amazing stay in this cottage which is set in quaint surroundings, and yet is at easy reach to popular places/sites. We used it as our base to do day visits to Brussels, Hallerbos and Leuven. Fabienne and Rudy were such lovely hosts, they live in their house in the same property, they spent time talking to us giving us very useful tips for our sightseeing, and generally filling us in on the history/geography of Belgium, which was very nice of them, they are genuinely caring/welcoming/friendly people which made our stay very homely and we felt much welcomed (even had a welcome note on the board). The cottage had a spacious living, kitchen and bathroom areas, the sauna being the highlight of the bathroom. We enjoyed the music facility in the living area, something we have never seen in our previous holidays. The bar and the attached sitting area was a big bonus, again something we have never come across before. Very nice views of the surrounding area from the upstairs balcony (this is the interesting bit of the castle looking part). The heating worked wonderfully well and very easy to operate, same goes for the hob. The hosts had left a lot of leaflets to find out about sightseeing and also had a very comprehensive book with information about the house (including its history), where things are kept, local eatouts, local sightseeing etc. which was very useful. All in all, we enjoyed our stay so much and will return anytime we can :-) Loved the welcome cookies!!

Very nice stay
Great place to stay for a family, quite surroundings and neighbourhood. The house was very welcoming with all facilities we needed. Clean and cosy, even some toys for the kids which was very well appreciated by the little ones. Overall great experience and pleasant stay.

Gite très propre et confortable. Très bien situé pour visiter Bruxelles et les alentours. Pour les amateurs le sauna dans la salle de bains est top. Un point d'attention : l'escalier qui est très raide. En conclusion nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

hôte a l'écoute, on a été très bien accueilli avec quelques douceurs. Literie et habitation très confortable. Petit + les denrées de première nécessité. merci pour ce séjour. Accueil très chaleureux dans un gîte parfaitement équipé. La propriétaire est très serviable et le gîte vraiment agréable.

Wonderful stay
Wonderful stay at a good price, just a short walk around the corner from Waterloo Monument and 2 restaurants. The cottage was well done, cozy, comfortable; and clean; make sure to bring your linen though [queen and 2 twins]. Brussels and Ghent was just a short drive away with quick access to the autobahns.

A bit hard to find in the dark, but the hosts were so helpful-even came out to the road to wave us in! You can seriously see the Butte de Lion from the drive and walk there in less than 10mins-easy walk. My kids begged all day to go home from Brussels to play in the “castle” instead since they loved the tower so much. So easy to get to the grocery store and cook at home (or hit a local cafe)! Just amazing and then……add in the sauna….🤯💕

Heel fijn verbleven!
De leeuw is vanop de straat te zien (dus super dichtbij)! Het huisje is zeker ook in orde en de infrarood sauna doet extra deugd na een dagje wandelen. De eigenaars wonen ter plaatse en alles verliep heel vlot. We mochten zelfs iets vroeger inchecken op vrijdag, waarvoor onze dank! grtjs "Rodania"
