Loved it, thanks Jen for the experience and helping us with maps of the area!”

“My wife and I, along with another couple, loved our stay at Poe's Mountain. The place was very clean, check-in/check out were super easy, and Brian was very responsive. He also provided us with some great info on places to eat (Shawn's BBQ in Culpepper was delicious). We enjoyed sitting on the deck both morning and evening listening and watching the birds. We were even awakened one morning by a male wild turkey gobbling away outside our bedroom window with his female entourage following him. So……

“This property is beautiful!! Love that it is just a few minutes walk to the beach, but not right outside our door (my grandson is autistic and drawn to the water). We celebrated Thanksgiving here and it was perfect. Karol made sure we had everything we need for a wonderful meal! Will look for this property again with future stays.”

House was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Chase was wonderful to work with and Mike (the owner) was very welcoming. Not only were we given bread, eggs, sausage at the beginning of our stay, we found some beautiful daffodils on our doorstep during our stay. We will definitely be back! Thank you!”

The building has an amazing history, the smokehouse history was fun to learn about, and the town had an event called "first Friday" where local bands and vendors showcased on Friday night, and our host was always attentive to our needs, available, and pleasant. “The home is situated in a great location. The back of the house faces the Robinson River - it's a very nice view. There are trails leading down to the river, a private pond, fire pits in several locations (unfortunately we couldn't use the fire pits because of the wildfires but I imagine it could be fun especially the one close to the river). There are hammocks everywhere, plenty of space for kids and dogs to run around. The home is rustic, lots of natural light and equipped with a fireplace.……
