“Great location, clean and very responsive owner who gave us an early check in. Only complaint would be the two single beds were very uncomfortable. You could feel the springs in each one. We managed to use extra duvets the second night to make it more comfortable.”

“Fabulous little house, bright welcoming and cosy. Appreciated the thoughtful touches such as breakfast items, wine (!) and the Christmas tree. Very easy access into town and for buses and trains. ”

“Really enjoyed the stay, the yurt was great and the spa sort of expensive but at the same time where else gives you full ownership of a spa for 3 hours? Not many places so for that I would say it was worth it. Very clean shower facilities were great. The yogurt itself is not very private because it’s so close to the manor when you walk out the door you’re in view of the top windows however it’s located 15 minutes away from a few different trails which were really fun to take the dog. “Definitely not "serviced ". 2 loo rolls, half a bottle of washing up liquid, 1 x pod for washing machine and about 75ml milk left to us for 4 nights/5 days. Check in is an email sent to you literally at 2pm, not a minute earlier and there is a number to call if anything emergency is needed. Other than that, no human interaction. Your room key is a swipe you get in your email. Noisy at night if you're at the front. There is a nearby church whose bells are chimed every 15 mins throughout the night……

“Comfortable cosy stay in lovely, clean cottage which is dog friendly. Situated minutes from shops meaning you can easily get your essentials or grab a drink in a lovely pub. Nice location and suitable base to drive to other parts of the region. The cottage was clean and presented as described. WiFi was excellent throughout ( I know that’s required for some, but not us) Has a small back garden, which is gated and perfect for dogs to stretch their legs.”

“Very comfortable unit in a country setting away from the congestion of York. The only negative point was that the WIFI was weak in the unit we were in. Nice, historical location. ”
