“Great little locally owned place. The food was good. The pub was great. Friendly locals gathered as well as fellow travelers. Had a great time and really enjoyed staying at the hotel so much, we decided to stay another night. The staff was also very accommodating where they could be, although we did have a few issues. We had some trouble with no heat in our room the first night. The staff was quick to respond to turn it on that evening; however, it didn't get/stay on, so it never warmed up, and……

“A lovely warm welcome with a real family feel to the B&B - extremely helpful too. The rooms are very comfortable. The breakfasts are outstanding using many local products and the extra homemade treats are delightful. Location is lovely with surrounding countryside - highland cows, sheep and deer whilst at the edge of the village.”

“From entering the gates & driving up the long & winding drive & entering the lovely reception & meeting the very helpful receptionist was just perfect, the room, dining room and bar all exceeded expectations, we had a lovely stay & a big thank you to all concerned”

“Great value at this hotel. Large parking garage under the hotel. Free if you stay at the hotel. Get the breakfast included in the rate too. The breakfast was good. Many items to choose from- the usual continental breakfast. The beds are firm. Sea view is the best view of the town and churches and the sea too. Walking distance to pubs and nightlife. We went to Maggie Mays for live music. Old Granary for dinner. We will return here one day.”

“The room was really nice, modern and well furnished with everything you needed. It was at the back of the pub however, 2 rows of rooms with free parking right outside each room.”

“We had a warm welcome from Pauline and Chris who were throughout great hosts - happy to help with local visits and places to eat. A lovely setting on a useful through route just 35 minutes from the port.”

“The hotel is older and could use updating. Landscaping appears to be overgrown in some areas. Outside our window was an old grocery cart and a piece of fencing. Not sure why it was there. Parking was limited and there was no air conditioning. Showers were very small.”
