Starfish on Straddie is a beautiful, comfortable holiday home, just the right size for a family with two adults and two young children. The kids loved all the board games and DVD's. Carolyn and Mal are wonderful hosts and they are great with communication. We love that the property is pet-friendly and it is perfect for small dogs. The only recommendation we can give is that the fence at the back be extended above the rock wall so that medium dogs such as our 15kg boy won't be able to jump up and escape. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely visit Starfish on Straddie again!

Starfish on straddie

Great location can even see a glimpse of the ocean from the front deck. Bit going on in the front yard with old machines and some gardening work but was pre warned and really wasn't that big of a deal. Would definitely come again.

Great stay

Fantastic little cottage. Perfect for the two of us. Comfortable bed and was fitted with all the amenities we needed. Loved the deck, where you could see a smitten of the water. Good location. Will stay again!

We had a nice stay at Starfish. It was a peaceful location and the bed was comfortable. Lack of Wi-fi was a little inconvenient but my fault for not checking availability of this first. I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation for family with toddlers as they would probably fall off the patio but there’s heaps of games and DVD’s to help keep older kids entertained when not at the beach etc

Ideal for small family & pet friendly too

Spotlessly clean, quiet location, comfortable beds and all facilities you need for a comfortable stay and your pet can stay too, couldn't ask for more. Super fresh fish available from your friendly hosts next door too. Can walk to the beach and pub if you're physically fit (about 2.5K with hills) so you can enjoy a drink or two with a meal and walk home safely burning off some calories as a bonus.

We love it here

We have stayed here 4 times now and it’s our go to Straddie accommodation. Hosts are lovely, location works for us and it’s very affordable. Our very anxious pup likes it here. Just right for a couple and small to medium sized dog

Lovely small pet friendly house. Everything there what we need and convenient location. Just no phone reception ( with optus ) when we needed to serch next day plan was bit hard. But including the budget it's a perfect house to stay.

Lovely house with plenty of room and fully equipped. Relaxing balcony with a view of Moreton Island. Easy drive to Point Lookout and Cylinder Beach. We will stay there again if we have the opportunity.

Mostly good. Driveway a problem for elderly legs.Needed careful management so we did not fall. Everything else was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Another great stay at Starfish

We had a wonderful week at Starfish after Easter. We keep coming back because of the excellent location, the clean, comfortable and cosy little house with lots of board games and DVDs for the kids, and the hospitality from Carolyn and Mal. The new deck with its ocean view through the trees is an added bonus. We’ll be back again!

Nice enough

Adequate. Poor telephone and mobile coverage. Had a disused tractor in pieces in the front yard. But it did make the place easy to find. My dog was allowed with a dog cage out the back, so that was a big plus.
