fair enough, especially in the UK. if somebody wants to take a trip in that city and requires a place with high c/p ratio, then that's it.

An awful, unhygienic place with a rude and I can't be bother front of house staff member. My room was on the top floor. The walk upstairs was strenuous. If you have leg joint or mobility issues, there is no lift. The top floor rooms, share a bathroom. It was cold and not very clean. I only used the toilet, I couldn't wash in there. Luckily, I was only staying overnight. The carpet in my room looked like an old stained crime scene, which, was very much like the state of the carpet throughout the hotel. The single bed was AWFUL with DIRTY STAINS on the sheets and mattress. I did not sleep on the bed. The was a wooden desk chair which I sat on for the night. I did not get a minutes sleep. I needed the use of an iron, which seemed too much trouble for the reception guy to get. I was given no ironing board. Instead I was given a small hand towel to iron my clothes. I was going to write and complain and ask for some sort of refund, but I figured their attitude would be just as nasty as their accommodation. Avoid this place like the plague! Not worth a single penny of your hard earned (or easy) money! I would give a minus score review if I could!

I arrived at this hotel and immediately left and booked somewhere else. The hotel was visibly unclean with stained carperts and noticeable detritus on bedside table, demonstrating that the room hadn't even had a cursory wipe. Mattress was old and like a rock. The room had a commanding view of a neglected garden area. Whilst it may seem like a good deal price wise there are many more hotels on offer at a similar pricepoint.

We had booked and paid for bed and breakfast but when we arrived we were told there was no kitchens in the building and we would have to go out to find breakfast. Also we were on the fourth floor and there was no lift and 51 steps to our room. The room was spotless and the shower very good.

My room was very comfortable and clean and quiet. The bed was very good and I slept very well. The tea and coffee in the room was much appreciated. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to everywhere I wanted to go to in the city, and close to my daughter’s university accommodation. I will definitely stay again and it was much cheaper than the usual budget hotels I have stayed at. Also I was able to park in front of the hotel for £10 for 2 x nights stay which was great.

We were very disappointed with the Regency Clifton Oyo. I didn't want to leave a negative review, but the hotel responded poorly through Expedia's customer service, so here we are. TL;DR: dirty room when we arrived, then improperly cleaned. Room also in disrepair, but I had to get my young children to bed. My complaint was disregarded. Full story: my two daughters (aged 4 and 6) and I arrived at 7pm (having completed virtual check in) and found the room hadn't been cleaned. Bedding and towels everywhere, food on the beds. We went downstairs and spoke to the front desk. He said "give me twenty minutes" and then took nearly an hour to clean the room. When he was finished, I had to get my exhausted children to bed as fast as possible. Thankfully the bedding was clean. But the rest of the room was a disgrace. Stained carpet with wrappers, dried ramen, crumbs and random plastic on the floor. The radiator was broken, so we had an antique, chipped heater. The towels were stained and the shower was hairy. The towel rail was missing, the bathroom door had been badly fixed, the toilet seat didn't fit. The blind was broken. The spare toilet rolls were stained. A mirror wasn't on the wall. The place was a disgrace. I didn't have any other option. It was gone 8pm. We made a swift exit the following morning. After our stay I lodged a complaint through Expedia with photos. We were told it wasn't hotel policy to offer refunds or apologies. Don't stay in this hotel. You're worth more.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The photos on Hotel.com look nothing like the filthy disgusting mess that you are faced with. Heating wasn't working and even though I managed to find someone on reception, I was ignored. Only half of my room was carpeted and the other half had a bed sheet on the floorboards! Wardrobe and bedside table looked like they'd been taking out of a skip, bed side lamp wasn't working. Window was closed but the floral, 1970's style curtains were still blowing in the wind due to the rotting frames. The half carpet was full of stains and the filthy dirty bathroom was a shared one between 3 other rooms.

Wow, where to begin! We arrived at 3:15 with our room numbers assigned but my friend went upstairs to find police tape over the door, this was the room he was 'upgraded' to! When he went to reception he was told that no other rooms were available so there was a mad rush to find somewhere else close by as we had a rugby match to attend at 5pm. Availability last minute was scare and the cheapest hotel was £228. As such he is out of pocket by approximate £110 (difference in cost). Other things wrong with the other two rooms : - cigarette burns in the carpet - musty towels - noise from the street (drunken students on their way home) - noise from the other rooms (walls very thin) - blood in the sink - leaking shower - rooms dirty overall If we had paid £25/30 / night maybe we could some of these faults could be overlooked but it was just over £100 for the night. I would recommend this hotel is delisted and I would like a response in relation to additional cost incurred as a result of there being no rooms available. Avoid at all cost!

Incredibly poor. The day of our stay, the hotel was cancelled by OYO due to double booking. When I called the hotel they were unsympathetic and did not support in any sense to get us compensation or support booking a room. I am incredibly disgusted by the services we received and I will not be booking a OYO hotel again.

We turned up 10minutes after the time we originally said due to traffic. The room wasn’t made the bed was messy, it stunk of alcohol and their was left over wine bottles from the night before and ee got told to wait an additional 10/15mintues for them to do the room. Said we would get a refund as we didn’t stay but have heard nothing of it. Now they are saying we never turned up when that was never the case
