Of all hostels I already stayed along the last years, YHA hostels are consistently among the best, clean rooms and bathrooms in general and very good central locations. Bristol YHA is conveniently close to the harbour and a short 15 min walk from the Bristol Temple Mead station. Recommended!

Very helpful reception staff. There is a good bar / cafe area in the property. The room was clean and a good size. No towels were provided in the room, but this is not unexpected as it is a hostel.

Clean and functional hostel accommodation with excellent harbour side location and stylish communal areas that serve a good cuppa. We didn’t eat there but saw others enjoying toasties etc. We would stay again. Be aware parking is at additional cost in this central area.

Signage for the property was nearly non-existent, I thought it was just a a cafe. The cafe area was clean, but once you went into the accommodation area, the cleanliness was lacking. The staircase banister was sticky, the stairs had rubbish and the toilet looked like it hadn't seen bleach for years. I get that these are high traffic areas but its also not that hard to keep clean. The room had rubbish down the side of my bed and the mattress was dirty. I went to pee in the bathroom and there wasn't any loo roll. I told the staff at the reception desk as I left for the evening, but when I got back several hours later, it still hadn't been replaced.

Ataff are super helpful. Overall clean and tidy. Some issues with the noise as guests share one corridor and some of them were not mindful about the potential disturbance caused during late hours.
