  • The Basilica of the Holy Blood is a Roman Catholic minor basilica in Bruges, Belgium. Originally built in the 12th century as the chapel of the residence of the Count of Flanders, the church houses a venerated relic of the Holy Blood allegedly collected by Joseph of Arimathea and brought from the Holy Land by Thierry of Alsace, Count of Flanders. The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO. Along with a few other canal-based northern cities, such as Amsterdam, it is sometimes referred to as The Venice of the North. Bruges has a significant economic importance thanks to its port and was once one of the world's chief commercial cities. Look no further...book Apartment Dijver now! Fantastic location for this beautifully decorated and well-equipped apartment smack in the middle of Brugge's historic city center. Great and quick customer service from the management team.

Beautiful apartment close to historic city centre

We just stayed 10 days and can't say enough good things about this apartment. Perfect location, looks just like the pictures and very clean. The only problem I had was getting my very heavy suitcase up the steep stairs. You may want to consider this when packing. We plan to return in less then a year and will definitely be staying there again if available.

Great apartment and excellent location.

We loved this apartment. Everyone was clean and tidy. The location was excellent. 2 mins into the Markt and Burg squares. Right on the river. The beds and bathroom were great and very comfortable. We will definitely revisit and use the same apartment the next time we are in Bruges.
