We came in for the weekend and feel like we probably missed out on most of what this property has to offer. It’s a beautiful home with amazing views and perks. can’t wait to come back and stay a little longer
The house was very nice overall. Driveway is big with plenty of room to park our raft trailer. The views from the porch are incredible. Hot tub is nice. The boat ramp is close by. It is a bit of a drive from the highway through the neighborhood, so I recommend bringing everything you may need with you. There is a Dollar General fairly close by, but all other stores are quite a trek. Nice to have the game room and TV room in the basement- movie watching was really cool! Really the only problem with the whole stay was that the dishwasher drain was messed up and the dishwasher was really dirty and unusable. The staff at Watershed were very responsive and sent some folks out to check on it, but the problem could not really be fixed during our stay. We would go back for sure! Great house if you have multiple generations of people to entertain. The two main level bathrooms have walk in showers. The sliding doors between bathroom and upstairs bedrooms bedrooms don’t have locks. These bedrooms are also connected by a loft, so if you’re not staying with family you may want a privacy system or a sound machine.
The game room downstairs was great! However we kept wishing there was a lamp over by the pool table-it was dark over there at night and a lamp would’ve been useful. The same thing could be said about having a lamp in the corner of the loft space. I liked reading up there but couldn’t in the evening bc there was no light. One of the lamps in the living room had a lightbulb out and we had to use a bulb from a bedroom lamp.
I was surprised such a nice place had such cheap soap-the Softsoap at the sinks. It’s an easy fix detail to have better quality soap bc it made me assume the other products were also of the same cheap quality (like shampoo brand you provided).
The house itself is great-loved the game room and theater space. My kids loved air hockey and the bean bag chairs. The furniture was all good quality as was the hot tub. It was the small details that didn’t match the house quality.
We also would’ve appreciated written directions for the 1.5 mile walking trail. We would’ve done that but didn’t know where it was.
If we were in the area we would def come back as the house was great, just details matter.
This cabin was a dream. Beautiful and exactly as described. Only trouble we had was figuring out the final turn up the driveway in the dark when GPS said we had arrived. The emailed directions helped us figure this out though!
