Historical place, beautiful features preserved , but artificial flowers and new illumination stands added destroyed the authenticity and the elegance of the place( kitsch!). A pity! Excellent location!

The room decor is very outdated and the room had a weird faint smell. However, the AC worked ok, the water had good pressure, and the cleaning crew did a good job restocking the coffee, tea daily. The front desk staff was very friendly, they stored my luggage for a few hours and asked if I need transportation to the airport.

If traveling by car, be advised that finding the hotel entrance is difficult. Expedia and Google map show its location being off Calea Victoriei, when in fact it is about mid-block on Strada Edgar Quinet. The Hotel does not offer enclosed parking, but will reserve a space on the street, near the entrance for a fee, if available. Fortunately for us, a space was available within relatively easy access to the entrance. Not much assistance was offered for transporting luggage either into or out of the hotel (self-service). Once located and registered, Casa Capsa turned out to be one of the finest hotels we have ever experienced. From its incredible 19th century architecture to it modernized accoutrements, it was a constant pleasure to experience. Wi-fi signal was very weak in room, but strong in sitting room on 2nd floor. The adjoining restaurant offered a full compliment of drinks, pastries and desserts, but nothing else. The hotel and restaurant's beauty, elegance and service is not easily surpassed. Thankful for the opportunity to stay at Casa Capsa.

Capsa's location is great, close to everything: Cismigiu, restaurants and libraries. Also, the sweet treats and service at Capsa shop is exquisite. The staff accomodated my mom's needs promptly. We had a nice sejour!
