「A really charming and quirky house, perched on an overlook above a bend in the James river. Very friendly host, nice grounds, and plenty to explore in the surroundings. We did some outdoor grilling and a fire in the pit on a very starry night. The kids were disappointed that the hottub wasn't working that weekend, but there were plenty of games and some swings nearby to keep them occupied.」

「Bill and Cynthia are such amazing hosts and the property inside and out exemplifies it. What a great place to stay for some serious rural R&R! The property was very clean. They have thought of everything one would need for a delightful get away. If you forgot anything, just ask and they are sure to help one way or another. The Fresh eggs, courtesy of their chickens, were a treat and the farm animals are such fun…esp Posy, Zoey and Hemingway. We hope to return soon for a longer retreat! Thank you...

「We enjoyed our stay. Very clean and very quiet! No blinds in the bathrooms but I understand that is being addressed. Host was accommodating and communicated well. My only critique is that grass needs to be cut at the landing where land meets the stream for easier access to water. Overall, very good property! Would stay again.」

「My family and I had a great time at this property with the air hockey, dart board, firepit, & hot tub. The kitchen was well-stocked with non-stick cookware, having everything one might need to cook. We cooked many of our meals, so this was appreciated (there's a limited number of restaurants in the area, but we like to cook). Communication with the owner was very easy and good.」

「A beautiful, not too rustic cabin set well back from the road. There are no neighbors in the backyard except for the birds, squirrels and deer. There are no neighbors in the front yard either. 「We had 6 families staying for a short weekend trip. We loved the location...a 15 minute drive to most places. The accomodations were very thought out...waters in every bedroom and we appreciated that we didnt have to buy every little thing (shampoo, trash bags...so many amenities provided).
