I was honestly shocked at how fantastic this hostel was considering the low price! The beds are comfy, staff is super friendly, and they have free breakfast (with coffee). It is a fantastic location and very walkable! Showers are large with hot water.

Really great hostel. Roms and Bachs small, but they Work hard to keep it clean.
Many people Work there. Reception open 24 hours, free breakfast and if you buy a beer or wine you Can get free dinner
You Can Wall from the hostel to Many sightseeing in Budapest, and the metro is just outside the door
Also supermarkeds and cafés just around
Many people stay there, borh Young and Old
Great location within walking distance all places of interest. Breakfast was standard - bread with spreads, boiled eggs, cereal, salad with tea, coffee and cordial. The lift was small, old and creaky but it worked. Airport shuttle was great for EUR21 cash for three of us. We stayed in a private room which had it's own shared common area for cooking and eating. Lots of little cafes, fast food and small supermarkets were all within a block of the hostel.
Really good location, the guys running the hostel were great. Really fun time and they made it easy to meet people.
There was a man snoring really badly, not sure about whether we could have done anything about this, but obviously not the hostel's fault. (When I say bad, I mean bad enough it stopped people sleeping and woke us up).

Very good location. Easy access to transportation-metro and tram. Lift is very small and old-fashioned. Staff are accommmodating. Availed superior double or twin room, so we have to deal with the other room’s noise. The bedsheets, duvet and pillows are not very clean. Breakfast buffet has limited option—boiled eggs, bread and spreads, coffee, tea, milk, juice, oats, cereal, cucumbers, tomatoes and apples. You have to wash what you used-mug,plates,bowl etc. Not able to sleep well because of the outside noise.
I stayed here for 3 nights. I arrived early on the Wednesday morning and there was no problem checking in. I was even shown to the room/bed.
There was a toilet and shower in the room but option to use showers and toilets in corridor. These were really clean and cleaners were in there after each person in the morning.
The room did get very warm so bare this in mind when it's warm.
The free breakfast in the morning was a bonus. As was the drink and small dinner offer at night.
Fridges on each floor for cold items and full kitchen to use.
Staff were friendly.
One of the better Hostels I've stayed in and would return.
when i arrive the hostel i waited nearly 20minutes at reception cause of shift change. This hostel was the worst that i have ever stayed. No airconditionar in the rooms, the bed was too thin. İt was nearly impossible to sleep comfortable. Some people were sleeping at common area beacuse of airconditionar just work at that common areas. Hostel have breakfast service at mornings , it was not enough but ok u can eat something anyway. Spanish staff who works at kitchen for the breakfast were so friendly and kind. Maybe hostel just have 2 positive things to say; 1 is location was good, the second is i think people just prefer that hostel cause its sociability, u can make many friends there
Everything! The staff Eszter deserves a raise. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. The weekly/daily activities are great. This is the first time I have been in an hostel that is like a home. The breakfast, lovely. The free shots during games. The free tour activities, the extra favors you get compared to other places is dope. The only downside is the smell in the rooms due to long stay of guest and the windows are not opened. The proximity to the city center as well as all mode of transportation is lovely. I will definitely visit again. Thank you Avenue hostel for looking after your guest. The place is never empty. I was sad leaving cos I made few friends including Eszter. Avenue is 100% and I enjoyed Budapest as a whole. Bathroom was cleaned daily and everything was provided for including private or public kitchens were you can cook whatever you wanna eat.
The staff are very friendly and informative! They practice multiple cleaning procedures daily! As someone who has worked in Hospitality for 6 years with National Parks I am Proud of this establishment!
