Admire the playful deer frolicking nearby and be charmed by the presence of Jack & Henry, our beloved Mini Donkeys. As the sun sets, indulge in the magical allure of the outdoor fairy lights and cozy up by the inviting fire pit. Come and relish in the alluring tranquility that awaits you at the Wine Country Cottage.

The Wine Country Cottage warmly welcomes all pets, embracing their diverse sizes, ages, and breeds. While our standard policy allows for a maximum of two pets per booking, we are open to making exceptions in certain cases. If you are considering bringing more than two pets to the Wine Country Cottage, we kindly request that you contact us prior to making your reservation.

Dogs are to be attended to at all times within the Cottage, unless securely crated by their owners. Leaving pets unattended in the outdoor kennel is not permitted.
Notably, the Santa Ynez Valley boasts a dog-friendly atmosphere, with many eateries and wine tasting venues offering outdoor seating for patrons accompanied by their canine companions. Should you require doggy daycare services, we recommend contacting The Ruff Ranch at 805-686-2690 or visiting their website www.theruffranch.com, conveniently located in the Valley. For recreational outings, the Paws Park of Santa Ynez Valley, situated approximately one mile away, provides a delightful space for pets to play and socialize.
Kindly note that pet owners assume responsibility for any damages caused by their pets during their stay. To accommodate pets, there is an additional $35.00 fee for guests bringing furry friends to the Wine Country Cottage.

Wonderful stay in Wine Country Cottage

Great location, great amenities (the treats to feed the donkeys were an especially nice touch), very well equipped kitchen, lovely porch where we enjoyed watching the birds, and complete privacy made this an ideal lodging. Perfect spot for our excursions to wineries, breweries, and olive oil tasting!

Great Cottage

Clean, cozy cottage perfect location for wine tasting at Los Olivos or Visiting Solvang and going to Buellton for dinner. Perfect spot for my wife and I and our two labs.

Charming wine cottage

Wonderfully serene location. We loved our time on the porch where there was always a cool breeze and birds chirping as well as a fountain with a soothing ambiance. An amazing place for a getaway❤️

Relaxing Stay at the CottageWe really enjoyed our second stay at the Wine Country Cottage. The patio is quiet and peaceful with a fire pit and a large gas barbecue (great for grilling steaks). The cottage was very clean and includes a full kitchen, refrigerator, air conditioning, TV, and a very comfortable bed with a luxury mattress. Our three-year-old loved feeding the donkeys (Jack and Henry). The cottage is conveniently located just a short drive from hiking, restaurants, wineries, and shops. The host (Erin) responds promptly to any questions. Small touches like a Keurig coffee maker and complimentary soft drinks in the refrigerator really make you feel at home. We look forward to our next visit.

Cozy and clean

Our stay was a short one as we only stayed one night but the cottage was very peaceful and relaxing. It was very clean and had all the amenities listed. We enjoyed the patio fire pit in the evening and waking up in the morning birdwatching.

Relaxing Birthday Getaway

We had such a wonderful time during our stay at this charming cottage in Buellton! It offered the perfect peaceful escape, allowing my husband and me to disconnect from work and reconnect with each other and nature. The convenience of having a well-equipped kitchen, along with complimentary coffee and beverages, made the experience even more comfortable. This was our second time staying here, and we’re already looking forward to making this a regular getaway spot!

Hide away vacation

We so enjoyed our short get away in the sweet little hidden cottage. The cottage kitchen was well equipped and the cottage was clean. The wrap around porch with water fountain and gas fire pit was relaxing and so enjoyed. Our donkey hosts, Jack and Henry, were so cute as they raced to the fence for treats of carrots and lettuce. We will definitely consider coming back.

Quiet getaway, close to Solvang

Great for a quiet getaway with our small family. We were planning on spending time in Solvang, so the location was a short drive. Loved how quiet and remote it was. The property had what we needed. Only complaint: it’s listed as a one bedroom but it is not, it is a studio cottage. We weren’t expecting to sleep in one room together, but it all worked out. Feeding the donkeys they have on the property was a memorable treat!

Darling Cottage

Stayed here while my daughter's college lacrosse team had a tournament. It was the perfect location and made it feel like I was on a mini vacation. The kitchen and large fridge were perfect as I needed to prep team snacks and salads. Hope to stay here next year! Thanks Erin.

Charming cottage with perks

My wife and I and our small dog had a nice two night stay. Everything was clean and as advertised. It was a nice surprise to find water and soda in the fridge, as well as food for Jack and Henry, the resident donkeys. Even the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need, as well as many flavors of coffee. You could tell that the host truly tried to think of everything you could need to make your stay comfortable. Overall we had a very nice stay, thank you!

Perfection!

This property was exactly as shown, maybe better! Central location for our Solvang visit, everything you would want in your own home. So peaceful and quiet, very relaxing and well appointed. No comparison to a hotel or motel, even our well behaved dog felt at home. We will go back again and recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you again!

Spring Break Weekend

We came with our 21 daughter and our little dog for wine tasting. The cottage is very well stocked with so many thought out details, it was a very nice visit. She loved feeding the donkeys their treats and we felt it was very private even though the main home is up front. The coffee center and drinks in the refrigerator was a nice touch as well. If I were to say anything - and I mean it constructively - a few new kitchen items such as the cutting boards and replacing the small plates with cracks would make it even better. I would definitely book her again. The weather didn’t cooperate for us to enjoy the fire table and porch outside so hopefully next time.

A total paradise.

This is an absolutely beautiful place to spend time away from the city noise. A complete HEAVEN!One thing that has never been mentioned in the entire description was the Camino Road with about 5 High Speed Bumps that our vehicle hit pretty hard at the first bump. They are not marketed or visible, so be careful driving to the actual property. Other than that, this is NOT a 1 bedroom place. It's a studio open space with a bed, sofa, kitchen all in one.BUT: It is ABSOLUTELY the most gorgeous and quiet place, with 2 donkeys the owners provide the treats for, and not only that: They provide you with almost EVERY single necessity you'd need for a few days stay like coffee, tea, soda drinks in the fridge, spices and cooking ingredients, toothpaste, even female tampons (for those unexpected periods) ... We ABSOLUTELY enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone seeking peace and quiet.

A Quaint Cottage

The property was tranquil and we enjoyed our evening on the porch. We stopped in Buellton for groceries and ate breakfast in the kitchen in the morning. At the midpoint of a two week vacation it was nice to do a load of laundry with a good setup for that.

Great stay in Buellton

We stayed at the cottage for a week, it was great! It had everything we needed, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. We would love to come back sometime!
