「I hate giving negative reviews, however.... Upon arrival, access was very easy. The owner/ property manager provided clear and concise information. The property was easy to access, but definitely use a 4 wheel vehicle.
However, the online photos of the property are deceptive. The cabin is not as rural as one would think. The building has much more wear than depicted. The deck is high above the ground and the boards are warped with openings. It did not feel safe.

「In the hustle and bustle of the electrical contracting world, this place was a perfect retreat from the grind. The hot tub was amazing and the views were even better. The cabin was very comfortable and the AC worked very well and thank goodness it was 100 most of the week. 「The pictures on the listing were not accurate in representing the state of the current state of the house. The fence in the back is wire with stakes and not a fence. One of the main reasons we selected the cabin and the deck was a mess. The place was clean except there was an old pair of previous visitors' underpants on the sofa. The neighborhood dogs got out of their fence and aggressively chased us down 3 times, and other dogs down the road would chase our car. The next-door neighbors' trash...

「The retreat was , what can I say???? AHHHMAZING!! We absolutely loved everything . King sized bed. Decor was adorable and clean, clean, clean. Wood fired hot tub...what a cool concept. Michael, our host was more than accommodating to all our needs and responded to all questions in a timely manner. Although, we didn't bring our four-legged pooch, Stella was nice to know the entire retreat in Pup friendly.We will be back again and more than likely bring friends and family. A.must visit!!!」

「A beautiful spot in a very nice community! We loved having such a nice view of the lake in front of the house. Very quiet and peaceful and the hot tub was great! The area rugs had quite a few crumbs near the couch and the dining table, as the roomba vacuum did not seem to do the job on the rug areas. The wood floors were very clean though! I ended up vacuuming myself on the first night with the regular vacuum in the cabinet by the door. We had some issues with the TV in the living room as well...

「This cute little cottage (a converted carriage house) was perfect for my stay in Harper's Ferry. The cottage was well maintained, clean and cozy. I would definitely stay there again - particularly if I came in a car (it is near the top of a tall hill, and I came by bike off the C&O towpath, which was a climb!).
Notes: (1) there are two rentals with the same address, a house and this carriage house out back. I had a mildly embarrassing moment when I showed up and tried to enter the wrong house....
