Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen. Jeweils 20 Minuten zu Fuß (mit Kinderwagen, also wirklich Schrotttempo) ist Richtung Süden der Strand erreichbar und Richtung Norden ein großer Supermarkt mit üppigem und durchaus günstigem Angebot. Zur Selbstversorgung mehr als ausreichend. Das Hotel hat Zimmer im Hauptgebäude sowie kleine einzelne Bungalows. Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden, auch extra für E-Autos mit Lademöglichkeit. Parken kostet allerdings 9 Euro / Tag. Unser Zimmer war sehr gut gereinigt, in der Dusche müssten allerdings die Fugen der Bodenfliesen neu abgedichtet werden, der Silikon war bereits schwarz vor Verschmutzung. Die Zimmer werden auf Anforderung gereinigt, das funktionierte problemlos. Das Hotel bietet Frühstück an - dieses schlägt allerdings mit 21 Euro zu Buche, pro Person! Da es nichts wirklich besonderes gibt, es ist ein einfaches Buffet, haben wir uns selbst versorgt. Dies ist ab Morgens möglich dank dem guten gastronomischen Angebot. Restaurants und Cafes sind überall nach wenig Weg anzutreffen. Der Strand ist weitgehend sauber, die Nordsee herrlich erfrischend bei bester nachgewiesener Wasserqualität. Die Einheimischen sind alle sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Für junge Leute, die lieber etwas Action wollen, ist die Gegend aber zu ruhig. Wer aber genau dies braucht, Ruhe und Gelassenheit, der ist hier goldrichtig. Burgh-Hamsteede ist auch wesentlich günstiger als das (sicher bekanntere) naheliegende Renesse.
