The cottage is very spacious and the kitchen is well stocked. It’s only 15 minute drive to Lake Tekapo. Our family of four had a blast staying there.

This was a beautiful property both the cottage itself and the land outside. The home was in perfect condition and it was a relaxing place that we really enjoyed. The host was friendly and communicative. We would highly recommend this!

We chose Alpine Burke’s Pass for our recent trip, and while the location was convenient—only a 20-minute drive to Lake Tekapo—the stay itself ended up being a disappointment for us. We had a car, so the distance wasn't an issue, but we found the accommodation lacked the attention to detail we were hoping for. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to standard. Upon arrival, we noticed a persistent smell of mildew, especially in the bathroom area. We were also discouraged to find hair in the bathroom sink and in the bed before we had even settled in, along with some visible stains on the sheets and pillowcases. Furthermore, the bathroom fan seems to lead directly outside, which meant several small bugs were able to make their way into the room. We really wanted to love this spot, but these maintenance and hygiene issues made it difficult to feel comfortable. With a more thorough cleaning service and a few small fixes to the ventilation, this could be a great place to stay, but it didn't quite meet expectations this time around. It was definitely overpriced for what we got

Great! These are full-sized, detached cottages...not just a hotel room. Lots of room, like having your own house. Clean, well appointed, great communications. We would love to come back and spend a week and use this as our base for exploring the Tekapo area.

We loved our stay. The view from all the rooms was outstanding. Two bathrooms (great for a family) and washer and dryer was nice! Beds conformable. It was close to the road, so you could hear some traffic…. However you couldn’t see the road and when no cars where passing by, it felt like there is nothing but nature in front… with sheep grazing nearby. We really enjoyed it!

The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the views were absolutely stunning. The only downside was that the washing machine was quite slow, which was a bit inconvenient. Other than that, everything was excellent, and I had a great stay. Feel free to customize it further if needed!

We had a nice time in Lake Tekapo while staying at the Alpine View Burke’s Pass property. The house is decorated beautifully and we enjoyed seeing the animals! We were also grateful to have a washer and dryer. There was lots of hair, debris and crumbs of food on the floors. We tried looking for a vacuum but there wasn’t one. Our little one kept picking up the hair and food crumbs that were there before our arrival. We tried to contact the host, but the wifi shut off after about an hour so we couldn’t get in touch. This property is located on a busy road, and on a downward hill, so the large trucks were constantly pulling their loud engine breaks. We didn’t sleep the first night. If you’re a light sleeper, bring some earplugs along. As BnB hosts ourselves, we know it takes a lot of work and we did appreciate the little things like the packets of tea and the cookies! We also were happy to have access to a portable baby cot.

The accommodation was cozy and quiet. The owner seemed kind, and the people were generally nice. However, the Wi-Fi and smart TV kept disconnecting, so I had to use my phone data. The dishwasher had cups and plates of unknown origin, and some spoons with something stuck on them. The washing machine also had detergent residue, making both appliances unusable. I found rubbish under the bed and pulled out a clump of hair from the shower drain. Some beds were too close to the wall, making it difficult to find outlets, and it was not easy to turn the electric mat on and off.
